Hello and welcome to Take a Breath and Find Your Place.
This meditation is designed just to allow you to settle into wherever you are,
No matter what physically you can see around you,
What other sounds or noises you can hear.
This is a grounding meditation so I invite you to first and foremost roll your shoulders.
Take a deep,
Slow inhale,
Holding the air in your lungs for a few counts and slowly exhaling it out.
As we do another big inhale,
We allow ourselves to bring our focus and our attention onto the breath,
To how our body moves and feels as we breathe,
To the moments of sensation,
Really allowing our attention to fall simply on our breath.
Now I invite you to slowly scan your body from the head and the crown,
Over the face,
The jaw,
The neck,
The shoulders,
Down the arms,
Just observing what you feel in your body,
Down the back,
Down the front of the chest and the stomach,
To the hips and the groin,
Down the legs,
The knees,
The lower legs and landing on our feet.
And as we are making sure that our breath is steady and calm,
We are going to take a few moments to really pay attention to the connection between our feet and what is below it.
Whether it's shoes or ground,
Grass or pavement,
Just take a moment to feel that presence of connection,
Allowing all the thoughts,
All the judgements,
All the opinions just to pass.
If you choose,
Feel free just to note them before you let them go.
And as we become aware of this point of connection that is the furthest place from the mind,
The activity,
The engagement,
We allow ourselves to settle and to truly land in this moment.
Thank you.
