
14-Minute Somatic Meditation On Love

A guided meditation on love, with visualisation, body awareness and somatic practices. Experience relaxation and release in the body and visualize love in your imagination, with an effortless anchoring practice.
Transcript
So just taking a nice,
Slow,
Deep breath in through the nose,
And then as you release that breath,
Maybe you wish to close down the eyes or maybe lowering the gaze,
And just allowing the body to relax.
And when you're ready,
Just relaxing all those tiny little muscles around the eyes,
Allowing the muscles around the eyes to go limp and loose and relaxed,
Relaxing them now all the way down to the point that they just don't feel like working,
Limp,
Loose,
And relaxed.
And when you know that those eyelids just don't feel like working,
Give them a little test to prove to yourself that they just don't feel like working.
And then send that same quality of relaxation all the way to the top of the head and then down through the body,
All the way down to the tips of the toes,
A wave of relaxation slowly moving through the body,
So that the whole body from the crown of the head to the tips of the toes is wrapped,
Covered in a blanket of comfort and relaxation.
You can even imagine that comfort,
That blanket,
As a color,
A color that represents calm,
Healing and relaxation to you,
Whatever color that may be.
Imagine that healing,
Calming color moving through your body,
Releasing any areas of tightness,
Any areas of tension,
Any area of stress or of tiredness,
Just feeling it releasing from your body,
Your hands,
Your feet.
And as you drift further and deeper down into this beautiful place of relaxation,
I'd like you to picture or imagine someone or something that you love.
As you imagine or picture that person or that thing that you love,
I want you to feel where love is sitting in the body.
Where do you experience love in the body?
Where does the feeling of love come up in your body?
Where does the feeling of love come up in the body?
Does it come up for you in the heart,
In the belly,
In the chest,
In the face?
There's no right or wrong way to do this.
It's just your experience that you're noticing and becoming curious about.
So when you picture the face or the image of something or someone that you love,
I just want you to feel all the love you have for them.
Feel it and notice it in your body as a felt sensation.
So you're not thinking about the person that you love alone.
You're bringing in the mental picture of the thing or the person that you love in order to track it,
Trace it to a feeling,
A physical sensation in the body.
Where does that physical sensation come up for you in the body?
And how does it show up?
Is it a tingling sensation?
Is it a vibrating feeling?
Is it a warm,
A lightness,
An openness?
Just feeling that love.
And as you feel that love,
See if you can make that feeling expand.
Just with the power of the mind and the power of intention,
Make that feeling even stronger.
Let it flow through your body as you picture the person or the thing that you love.
In a moment,
I'm going to count from one to three,
And I'm going to get you to click your fingers with me.
When you do,
A link will be created inside the mind.
A connection will be created between clicking the fingers and that felt sense of love in the body so that at any time you wish to feel that feeling of love,
All you need to do is to click your fingers and feel that feeling flood through your body.
Just wash over your body that feeling of love.
So here we go.
Just picturing that image,
The face of the person that you love,
The thing that you love.
Feel that feeling come up with a one,
With a two,
With a three,
With a three,
With a three.
A connection now being created with that feeling and the clicking of the fingers.
So any time that you feel you need to just sense a feeling of love,
That feeling will wash over you when you click your fingers.
One more time,
Bringing that feeling up,
Clicking with me,
One,
Two,
Three.
That connection made even stronger between that feeling of love and the clicking of those fingers.
One last time,
Even stronger with a one,
A two,
A three.
So any time you feel like you need to just feel love,
To feel that sensation,
That vibration of love,
All you need to do is to click your fingers and feel it rush through your body.
And how good is it to know that even though you did picture or imagine the face of someone you love,
That that feeling was actually created within you,
That that feeling of love was created inside of you by the power of your intention.
And here's the thing,
Any feeling that you feel within your body now,
No matter what is going on around you,
You are in control of that feeling because it is created within you,
By you,
For you.
So there may be times that you may feel a little down.
There may be times you may feel a little disconnected,
A little unloved.
All you need to do now is to click your fingers and allow that feeling to wash through and over your body.
And isn't it good to know that you are in control because you are.
And now if you were to picture the face or the image or something that you trust,
Who or what would it be?
That can be someone alive,
Someone that's past.
It could be an animal.
It could be a plate.
Just someone or something that you associate with a feeling of trust.
And again,
Please notice,
Where does that feeling of trust start in the body?
How do you experience trust as a felt sense in the body?
Just notice,
Just get curious.
You're not trying to make anything happen.
You're not editing or censoring or chasing after any internal experience.
You're just noticing what's arising inside the body as you place the attention on trust.
Is that feeling of trust in the body different to love?
Is it different to the feeling of love in the body?
Just notice everything about the feeling of trust.
As you picture that image,
That face,
That place,
Maybe an animal when you feel that feeling of trust.
Again,
In a moment,
I'm going to count from one to three.
And again,
We're going to connect trust to the clicking of the fingers.
So we're creating a connection between the clicking of the fingers and that feeling,
That positive feeling of trust.
So anytime you need to feel good,
Just clicking the fingers will bring up trust and love.
So here we go,
Bringing up the feeling of trust with a one,
Two,
Three.
A connection being made between trust and the clicking of the finger.
Again,
One more time.
One,
Two,
Three.
Clicking the fingers.
And how good does it feel knowing that you can create these sensations in your body at any time?
You can create these positive internal states inside yourself anytime you want to shift how you feel.
Anytime you choose,
Because you are in control.
Anytime that you feel you need more love,
More trust,
You just want to feel good,
All you need to do is click your fingers and feel that rush going through your body.
So now in this beautiful place,
And from this lovely,
Comforting space,
Just starting to move your toes,
Your fingers,
Your wrists,
And your ankles.
Just starting to bring some awareness back to the physical body.
Feeling good,
Feeling the support that the body is resting on.
Feeling your breath as it flows in and out of your nose.
And just opening your eyes,
Knowing that everything said today is your reality,
In your mind,
And noticing that you're feeling so,
So good,
Wide awake,
Alert,
Grounded,
Ready to move on,
Feeling better than you have all day and all week.
