Welcome.

This guided Christian meditation will lead you on a journey.

A journey to be refilled by the love and presence of God.

If you haven't already,

I invite you to go ahead and find a comfortable position and close your eyes.

As you close your eyes,

You may notice thoughts,

Anxiety,

Rushing through your mind.

And if so,

That's okay.

Remembering that this sacred time with God is a space to fully let go,

To deeply surrender all of those anxieties that are within you to a God that loves you and cares about you.

To a God that is inviting you to give it to me.

I'll handle it.

Taking a deep breath in through your nose and out through your mouth.

Again,

Deep breath in through your nose and exhaling out through the mouth.

Inhaling through the nose,

Exhaling out through the mouth.

And I invite you to continue breathing in that pattern with that rhythm,

Finding a pace that feels natural and easy for you.

As we begin our scripture meditation,

I invite you to imagine that Jesus is sitting beside you,

Refilling your cup,

Pouring into you his love,

Peace,

Joy,

Abundance,

And ease.

But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness.

And all these things will be added to you.

Come to me,

All who labor and are heavy laden,

And I will give you rest.

Take my yoke upon you and learn from me.

For I am gentle and lowly in heart,

And you will find rest for your souls.

For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.

Create in me a clean heart,

O God,

And renew a right spirit within me.

Cast me not away from your presence,

And take your Holy Spirit from me.

Restore to me the joy of your salvation,

And uphold me with a willing spirit.

Create in me a clean heart,

O God,

And renew a right spirit within me.

Cast me not away from your presence,

And take not your Holy Spirit from me.

Restore to me the joy of your salvation,

And uphold me with a willing spirit.

May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing,

So that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope.

We destroy arguments and every lofty opinion raised against the knowledge of God,

And take every thought captive to obey Christ.

But his delight is in the law of the Lord,

And on his law he meditates day and night.

Keep your heart with all vigilance,

For from it flows the spring of life.

Finally,

Brothers,

Whatever is true,

Whatever is honorable,

Whatever is just,

Whatever is pure,

Whatever is lovely,

Whatever is commendable,

If there is any excellence,

If there is anything worthy of praise,

Think about these things.

But you are a chosen race,

A royal priesthood,

A holy nation,

A people for his own possession,

That you may proclaim the excellence of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light.

The Lord your God is in your midst,

A mighty one who will save.

He will rejoice over you with gladness.

He will quiet you by his love.

He will exalt over you with loud singing.

Rejoice in the Lord always.

I will say it again,

Rejoice.

But the fruit of the Spirit is love,

Joy,

Peace,

Patience,

Kindness,

Goodness,

Faithfulness,

Gentleness,

Self-control.

Against such things there is no law.

Until now you have asked nothing in my name.

Ask and you will receive,

That your joy may be full.

You make known to me the path of life.

In your presence there is fullness of joy.

At your right hand are pleasures forevermore.

Then he said to them,

Go your way,

Eat the fat and drink sweet wine,

And send portions to anyone who has nothing ready.

For this day is holy to our Lord.

And do not be grieved,

For the joy of the Lord is your strength.

When the cares of my heart are many,

Your consolations cheer my soul.

You have turned for me my mourning into dancing.

You have loosened my sackcloth and clothed me with gladness.

For our heart is glad in him,

Because we trust in his holy name.

Your words were found and I ate them.

And your words became to me a joy and the delight of my heart.

For I am called by your name,

O Lord,

God of hosts.

I have set the Lord always before me,

Because he is at my right hand.

I shall not be shaken.

Therefore my heart is glad,

And my whole being rejoices.

My flesh also dwells secure.

Rejoice in hope,

Be patient in tribulation,

Be constant in prayer.

My lips will shout for joy when I sing praises to you.

My soul also,

Which you have redeemed.

I will greatly rejoice in the Lord.

My soul shall exalt in my God.

I will greatly rejoice in the Lord.

My soul shall exalt in my God.

This is the day that the Lord has made.

Let us rejoice and be glad in it.

Be glad in the Lord and rejoice,

O righteous,

And shout for joy,

All you upright in heart.

Clap your hands,

All people.

Shout to God with loud songs of joy.

So also you have sorrow now,

But I will see you again,

And your hearts will rejoice,

And no one will take joy from you.

Not only that,

But we rejoice in our sufferings,

Knowing that suffering produces endurance,

And endurance produces character,

And character produces hope.

And hope does not put us to shame,

Because God's love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit,

Who has been given to us.

For his anger is but for a moment,

His favor is for a lifetime.

Weeping may endure for the night,

But joy comes in the morning.

I am acting with great boldness towards you.

I have great pride in you.

I am filled with comfort.

In all our affliction,

I am overflowing with joy.

The Lord is my shepherd,

I shall not want.

Taking a deep breath in through the nose,

Exhaling out through the mouth,

Gradually bringing your awareness back into your body.

Again,

We take a deep breath in through the nose,

And sighing out through the mouth,

Slowly becoming aware of the sounds around you.

And as you begin to wake up your body,

I invite you to return to this meditation for a daily refill as often as you need,

Trusting that these scriptures are always here to guide you and lead you back into God's presence.

Thank you for meditating with me.

Love the scripture meditation! The only suggestion would be to give the scripture references after each one and more space in between to reflect. Thank you!

Such a beautiful meditation, thank you! I’m always looking for more Christian meditations on here & this has been my favorite. Would you please consider adding the scripture numbers next time so I can reference them? & it will also help to break them up :) thank you!
