Let Go & Trust God
Guided Christian Meditation - Trusting is easy when everything is going right, but it’s a lot harder when things are not in order in our lives. The state of the world leaves a lot of us in a place of uncertainty. What are you holding onto in these unprecedented times? This is great to listen to when you are sleeping, first thing in the morning or during the day when you’re feeling stressed.

Take a deep breath in through your nose and out through your mouth,
Fully connecting to this present moment,
Giving yourself permission to be here now.
Again,
Take a deep breath in through your nose and out through your mouth,
Grounding yourself in this space and just slowly starting to become aware of your body in this moment,
In this space.
If you haven't already,
I invite you to find a comfortable position.
Feel free to sit with your feet planted firmly on the floor with an alertness in your spine that's not too rigid but not too relaxed.
Allow your hands to fall into your lap,
Facing your palms up or down,
Whatever feels comfortable to you.
Continue to breathe in deep at your own pace,
In through the nose and out through the mouth,
Releasing any tension that you may feel in the body.
If you haven't already,
I invite you to gently close your eyes when you feel ready and give yourself permission to be safe in this space.
Send yourself gratitude for allowing yourself this time to reconnect to God,
Your body,
And your surroundings.
Acknowledge that in this moment you have everything that you need.
You are perfect just as you are.
With your eyes closed,
Continuing to focus on your breath,
Breathing in through the nose and out through the mouth at your own pace.
Just bring your awareness to your feet.
Notice what your feet feel like and just begin to scan each and every single toe.
Working your way,
Toe by toe,
Up to your ankles.
Noticing the arches of your feet,
Your heels,
Moving up past the ankles to the shins,
Calves,
And the soles of your ankles to the shins,
Calves,
Kneecaps,
Thighs,
Hips.
Continue to breathe in and out at your own pace and just notice what your body feels like.
Notice your fingertips if they're resting in your lap.
Notice each and every single finger and just acknowledge them.
Working your way up your wrist,
Your forearms,
Your biceps,
And then bring your awareness to your your sacral area,
Your pelvic area.
And just notice what it feels like in that space.
Sending yourself support and compassion.
And continue to bring your awareness up past your belly,
Past the lungs.
Noticing how they're expanding and deflating with each breath completely involuntarily outside of your control by design.
Our bodies are always functioning and working for us even when we don't notice it.
So just take a moment to notice it.
Notice your heart.
Fill your heart space with fresh oxygen and just send gratitude to your heart.
Think about how long it's been functioning and working for you without much appreciation or acknowledgement.
Every day,
Every moment,
For every second of your life your heart has been beating.
Every valve and chamber opening and closing at the perfect moment.
Never missing a beat.
Just think about how amazing that is.
Send gratitude to your heart space and just let that fill you as you continue to bring your awareness up to your throat area.
Pass your throat into your jaw and just notice if you have any tension there.
Oftentimes when we're feeling stressed and overwhelmed,
We carry tension in our jaw and we don't even notice it.
So just acknowledge how are you feeling in that space.
And if there is any tension with compassion,
Just allow yourself to relax a tad bit more.
Breathing into that space and exhaling any tension that you feel.
Continue to bring your awareness up acknowledging the space and cavity all surrounding your jaw,
Your lymph nodes,
Your shoulders.
Don't forget your back body as well acknowledging if there's any tension there.
Continue to bring your awareness up past your nose and right around your eyes.
Just notice if there's any tension that you're holding around your eyes.
Maybe you're frowning or maybe your eyes just feel sore or tired from staring at a screen all day.
Whatever it is,
Just notice it and send compassion to that area.
A visual that helps me when I think about sending compassion is taking that deep breath in and imagining a light,
Whatever color that resonates with you today.
Imagine that color when you breathe in is coming in through your nostrils and feeling up any space in your body that feels tense.
And when you breathe out,
You're breathing out dark cloudy energy and that represents the tension that you're holding on to in your body.
So just take a few deep breaths and imagine that color coming in and gray cloudy breath energy coming out and allow it to just wash your body,
Wash your mind,
Wash any areas of your face that is carrying tension.
After you complete a few rounds of those deep breaths,
Continue to bring your awareness up past your eyes into your forehead,
Again releasing any tension there.
And then carry that same light energy with you beyond your eyes,
Beyond your forehead.
And just imagine that light is swirling right over the top of your head.
It's just right there hovering.
That light represents pure God energy,
Healing energy,
Healing breath.
Now imagine that light becomes so big and so powerful to the point that it washes over your entire body from head to toe.
You are saturated in that light.
Continuing to breathe in and out at your own pace and just acknowledging how your body feels.
And know that if you get distracted at any point or if your mind starts to wonder that that's okay.
Just gently bring yourself back to your breath,
Back to that light with compassion.
Notice how your body feels in this moment.
Just allow yourself to be here,
Listening to the sound of my voice and just noticing your breath.
Imagining that light in your mind's eye,
Again representing God's love and power and mercy just surrounding you at all times.
That light is always with you.
God is always with you.
No matter what you're going through or how heavy you may feel in this moment,
How daunting tomorrow might be.
You are not alone.
You are never alone.
You are protected by the most high,
Guided and supported by God,
Jesus,
And the Holy Spirit at all times.
And I invite you to use this light as a reminder of that protection and guidance.
On the days when you're feeling heavy and lost,
Confused and alone,
You have this light.
You have God,
You have Spirit.
Remember that you always have angels that are guiding you and protecting you and want nothing but the absolute best for you.
You are always surrounded by love.
You are divinely supported.
You are loved just as you are.
Proverbs 3 and 5.
Trust in the Lord with all your heart and do not lean on your own understanding.
Psalm 37,
4 through 6.
Delight yourself in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart.
Commit your way to the Lord.
Trust in Him and He will act.
He will bring forth your righteousness as the light and your justice as the noonday.
Romans 8,
28.
And we know that for those who love God,
All things work together for good and for those who are called according to His purpose.
Proverbs 3 and 6.
In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will make straight your path.
Psalm 9 and 10.
In those who know your name,
Put their trust in you.
For you,
O Lord,
Have not forsaken those who seek you.
Jeremiah 29 and 11.
For I know the plans I have for you,
Declares the Lord,
Plans for welfare and not for evil,
To give you a future and a hope.
Psalm 46 and 10.
Be still and know that I am God.
I will be exalted amongst the nations.
I will be exalted in the earth.
Psalm 28 and 7.
The Lord is my strength and my shield.
In Him my heart trusts and I am helped.
My heart exalts and with my song I give thanks to Him.
Matthew 6 and 25.
Therefore I tell you,
Do not be anxious about your life.
What you will eat or what you will drink,
Nor about your body,
What you will put on.
Is not life more than food and the body more than clothing?
Romans 15 and 13.
May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace and believing so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may be abound in hope.
Joshua 1 and 9.
Have I not commanded you,
Be strong and courageous.
Do not be frightened and do not be dismayed for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.
Psalm 112 and 7.
He is not afraid of bad news.
His heart is firm,
Trusting in you.
Hebrews 13 and 8.
Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.
Psalm 37 and 5.
Commit your way to the Lord,
Trust in Him and He will act.
Isaiah 26 and 3.
You keep Him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on you because He trusts in you.
Take a deep breath in through your nose and out through your mouth.
And allow the words from those scriptures to soak in your heart,
In your mind,
And in your body.
We all have periods of time where we are afraid and overwhelmed and anxious,
But God wants us to turn to Him in those moments to seek comfort in His arms,
To seek guidance from His words,
To seek protection from His shield.
You are divinely supported and loved.
Continue to breathe in and out at your own pace.
Continue to imagine your body covered in that light,
God's light of protection and healing.
Know that whatever you feel is valid and whatever worries you carry,
God invites us in this moment to leave them at His feet.
He's asking you in this moment to lay your burdens down and trust Him.
Trust Him for the answer,
Trust Him for peace,
Trust Him for justice,
Trust Him.
Release the weight of carrying it all on your own.
Release the overwhelm that comes with bearing the responsibility of the world and give it to God.
He wants to support you through it.
God wants nothing but the best for us and He wants to make the load lighter,
So surrender it.
Lift those bags off your shoulders and just hand it to Him.
Unload right here at His feet and trust that He'll patch up every wound,
He'll mend every scar.
But you have to be willing to give Him the baggage first,
Give Him the bruises,
Give Him the pain.
If you feel led to,
I invite you to repeat after me,
I am divinely supported and loved.
I am divinely supported and loved.
I release anxiety and fear.
I release anxiety and fear.
I choose peace and protection.
I choose peace and protection.
Continue to breathe in and out at your own pace,
Fully surrendering to this moment with God.
Let out whatever you need to.
If you need to cry or pray or shout or weep,
Whatever you feel,
Allow yourself to express it in this moment.
Be present with God and allow Him to nourish you.
Healing only happens when we're first feeling what we're sometimes afraid to admit.
So admit it to God in your own way.
Whatever you're afraid of,
Whatever keeps you up at night,
What pops into your mind first thing in the morning,
Leave it here now.
Taking a deep cleansing breath in through the nose and out through the mouth.
And this time,
When you're washing the mind with that light of whatever color that resonates with you,
I want you to imagine the light is coming in,
Permeating every cell in your body from head to toe.
Every hair on your head is being immersed in God's love,
Represented in this light.
And when you breathe out,
You're so full of this light,
You've released the weight and the stress that has been bogging you down.
And as a result,
When you exhale,
That light comes out as well.
Because you are now living in the overflow of God's peace.
So all you have now to give is light.
All you have to spread is light.
The heaviness and the gray cloudy energy that was once circulating in the cells of your body is gone.
Disappointed in the grace of God.
So take a few rounds at your own pace and just imagine breathing in that light,
Cleansing every cell of your body and breathing out even more light.
Again,
Breathing in and out.
Again,
In through the nose and out through the mouth.
Continue to breathe in and out at your own pace.
And just know,
Just know that the peace you feel right now is always available to you.
It's always there.
God's love is always there.
That light is always hovering,
Hovering around you.
Just allow it in.
In Jesus' name,
Amen.
As we prepare to close out this meditation,
I invite you to slowly start to bring your awareness back into your body.
Back into the room that we're in,
That you're in.
Noticing if there's any sounds around you.
With eyes still closed,
Just send gratitude to yourself for showing up in this moment.
And send gratitude and praise to God for comforting and healing you in this moment.
Take one final deep breath in through the nose.
Hold it for a few seconds and exhale,
Sigh out through the mouth.
Let it out.
And slowly start to bring your awareness back into your body.
If you feel led to roll your neck or stretch your arms,
Wiggle your fingers,
Do whatever feels good.
And slowly,
Whenever you're ready,
You can flutter open your eyes.
I pray that this meditation provided whatever you needed in this moment.
Feel free to revisit it at any point when you feel overwhelmed or stressed.
Thank you for listening.
