Good morning,
Beautiful family.
Graham Rising.
What an amazing,
Beautiful,
Glorious day to be alive.
You are alive.
You have breath in your lungs.
You have the ability to get to point A and B.
You have limbs,
You have organs.
You have smiles.
You have teeth,
You have a digestive system.
You have a sensorium system.
And thank you spirit for our sixth sense,
Our intuitive nature.
So before I get into it,
I'm going to open it with a few moments of silence.
Coming on here to talk about self-love and self-care today.
Let's honor the space,
Honor those who have come before us,
Paying homage to all that have placed their love in this world,
Who have put in the work and honoring the presence that is never in absence,
With a few moments of silence.
Spirit,
We thank you,
Excuse me,
We thank you for this beautiful rise.
We thank you for the rain that cleansed anything and everything last night,
For the thirst that it provided to the fertile soil.
We thank you for all it did,
For the flowers and the plants.
Spirit I am continuously in awe of you and your work,
Not just in my personal life,
But I get to bear witness to my brother and the changes that he's experiencing.
The depth of his practice,
The love that he exudes when he prays.
Spirit I am in awe of what you are doing in the dream world,
In the lives of those who have entrusted me to work with them.
And spirit I thank you for those individuals who have been coming my way that have just been expressing goodness,
That have been expressing love,
That have been taking accountability and that are open and receptive to change and newness,
That are open and receptive to wanting different,
To experiencing different.
God,
You are in every bird,
You are in every plant,
In every flower,
In every speck of dust.
You are in every leaf.
And I am honored to know you in my heart and I am honored to love you.
So this morning I want to talk specifically about self-care and loving on ourselves.
And what does that actually look like?
It's not just going to the spa.
It's not just getting your nails and your feet done.
That could be a part of it,
Absolutely.
It's not just cooking for yourself.
That could be a part of it,
Absolutely.
It's a culmination of things.
Self-love and self-care is a practice.
It's a daily practice.
And it's a practice throughout our day.
Self-care looks like saying no.
When you want to say yes,
But energetically,
Emotionally,
Mentally,
You just don't have it today.
And so you need to say no.
That's a great practice of self-care.
Self-care is hydrating the body temple.
Self-care is communicating your needs with yourself and others.
Self-care is speaking up when you don't like the way that someone spoke to you.
Great example is the other day in the morning time before I said good morning to my brother,
I told him how I felt about something.
And a few minutes went by and he said,
You know,
Sister,
I didn't like that.
I didn't want to be spoken to in that way,
That first thing in the morning.
And it wasn't what I said.
It was more so of how I said it.
And it wasn't rude.
It was just the fact that I,
You know,
He felt,
He kind of felt scolded and that was not my intention at all.
So I had to take accountability and I apologized.
And I also said,
You are right.
I could have led with good morning.
I could have,
You know,
We could have had our conversation first and then I could have brought up what it is that I wanted or how I was feeling.
So I'm sharing that example with you because it's so important that we communicate with our loved ones,
That we're not afraid to share how we feel.
That's a great form of self care.
Self care is moving the body temple in whatever way you need in that day.
Self care is placing foods in the body that are going to affect it in a healthy manner.
Self care is listening to a podcast instead of listening to something that's going to lower your vibration or listening to music that is going to extend and heighten your vibration.
Self care is journaling.
Self care is caring for your children.
Self care is caring for your animal companions.
That's a form of self care as well.
Self care is getting up a little bit earlier than your spouse or your children so that you have time to yourself so that you may journal,
That you may meditate,
That you may just sit and commune with spirit.
Self care looks like if you're a woman and you're on your moon cycle,
Having that donut,
Having that piece of cake,
Having that cookie.
Self care includes smiling.
Self care includes going outside and putting your feet in the soil.
There are all these ways to care for yourself.
A hot shower,
A hot bath,
Going and getting your nails and your feet done if that's what you want.
Reading a book,
Having high vibrational conversations.
These are all forms of self care.
Having a garden,
Caring for that garden and caring for the garden of your own soul.
Self care is going to look different for every person,
But it is vital to every person.
It is nobody's job externally.
It is nobody's job or responsibility to do for us.
We must do for ourselves.
And yes,
There's a yin and a yang.
Of course,
There's giving and receiving.
And yes,
We need to learn to receive.
Receiving and giving are just as important than the other.
Excuse me.
So self care is going to look different for each and every individual.
But I repeat,
It is vital.
It is vital to our continued existence as a humanity.
We have to stop looking externally for people to do for us.
You are responsible for you.
You are responsible to care for yourself.
You're responsible to love on yourself.
That may look like a nap.
That may look like not leaving your room or your house all day and just watching some movies.
Whatever it looks like,
Do it.
Don't be afraid to be alone.
This podcast is actually inspired by a woman that I met recently that goes by Dayani.
And she put on her story last night about self care and how she didn't practice it.
And she was scared to be alone for most of her life because she didn't want to sit with her own thoughts.
And that was me.
I'm going to be 36 this year.
I felt that way for the first 30 years of my life.
And really,
It's been the last three years of my life that I've really honed in and learned how to practice self care.
So shout out to you,
Love.
Shout out to your practice.
Whatever that looks like for you.
Thank you for sharing that message that you did when you were in the bathtub last night.
Thank you for being open and raw.
Thank you for being transparent.
I appreciate you.
I honor you.
So again,
Your self care practice,
You love it on yourself is going to look different than the next person.
And that's okay.
Because your superpower is that you are you.
So I encourage you today,
If you've never done anything for yourself in the way of self care,
Self love,
Today is the day.
It could be one thing,
Taking a hot bath,
Starting a new book,
Journaling for the first time ever,
Or continuing to journal,
Making yourself something to eat that's going to raise your vibration,
Hydrating your body,
Going for a walk,
Going for a run,
Going to the gym,
Watching a movie that you've been wanting to watch.
I encourage you to do one thing today that's going to contribute to your mental and emotional self care to your physical body temple.
So in this moment spirit,
We just give gratitude.
We give gratitude for all that is we give gratitude for waking us today.
We give gratitude for the sun that has come out and is shining.
I give gratitude specifically for Zenny Cat and her cuddles last night.
I give gratitude for you waking her today.
Spirit I'm in gratitude for all that I am surrounded by,
For these beautiful mountains and the clouds that are covering the mountains.
The slight slant in the trees,
The eucalyptus.
Spirit you are it.
God,
You are it.
Cosmos,
You are it.
Creator you are it.
So I give gratitude.
I give gratitude for the ability in this moment to speak these words.
And for anyone and everyone that listens,
I give gratitude for you and your journey and your process and your souls unfolding.
Because everything is perfect right now.
Not when you get the promotion,
Not when you get the car,
Not when you make X amount of money,
Not when you get married and have the family and the kids,
Not when you move into the dream house,
Not when you have a beautiful,
Successful,
Vibrant,
Flourishing business.
Everything is beautiful and perfect right now.
And it's okay if you don't understand that.
God doesn't need you to understand everything.
You're not meant to.
We don't have the capacity to.
It's designed that way.
So Spirit I give gratitude in this moment to recognize that you are it,
That you are the only ingredient.
You are the Alpha and Omega.
You are the omniscient,
Omniactive,
Omnipotent presence.
And your presence is the present.
And I will keep reminding us all of that.
Your presence is the present and the gift that keeps on giving.
The breath in your lungs is the presence of God.
The functionality of your organs is the presence of God.
The ease that the blood flows through your veins is the presence of God.
Your ability to speak and hear and smell and touch and taste is the presence of God.
Your ability to walk and talk and move the body is the presence of God.
Your beautiful genius mind that produces thoughts is the presence of God.
Your emotional body,
The presence of God.
The presence of God,
The one living God,
The one living Spirit,
Whatever you choose to call it,
Jesus the Christ,
Buddha,
Allah.
You are in every single bird that I get to witness right now,
The hummingbirds.
You are in every vibrant color.
And Spirit,
I recognize in this moment that you are the rays of the sunshine.
You are the illumination of the moon.
You are the twinkle in the stars.
And Spirit,
I recognize in this moment that I and every other being,
Human and animal,
Are unified and united in your presence,
In your spirit,
In your fundamental goodness.
Because it's only you.
There's nothing else.
It's not you plus.
It's simply,
Wholly,
Fully and completely you.
Your radical love.
Your radical grace.
Your radical abundance.
Your radical joy.
You are a radical God.
You are a God that loves us when it doesn't make sense.
When other humans are saying,
How could you love this person?
But what about what they did?
What about the act or the crime that they committed?
You know what Spirit says?
You're all my children.
I love you all equally.
No one is more special than the next.
So let us not judge because you don't know a person's soul.
You don't know the next iteration and unfolding of their soul.
Excuse me.
So Spirit,
In this moment,
I give thanks once again to realize that there's nothing that we need to specifically do or be.
We don't need the accolades.
We don't need the house.
We don't need the money.
We don't need the cars.
We don't need the vacation homes.
We don't need the designer this or that.
You don't care about any of that.
You care about how we love you and show up for ourselves and others in our hearts.
You want to know that we know you in our heart.
You give us access to you right now in this moment,
In every moment.
So Spirit,
I give thanks for this prayer for this morning.
I give thanks for the inspiration in this podcast this morning.
I give thanks for every individual putting in the work and every individual not knowing what to do or where to go because right where they are,
Spirit,
You are and everything is unfolding as it needs to.
So I give thanks,
Spirit.
I release this prayer.
I release this word knowing that everything is exactly as it needs to be in your perfect absolution.
I release this prayer by saying,
And so it is,
And so be it.
Thank you,
Great divine,
Beautiful,
Loving Spirit.
Thank you for your radical love and your radical wisdom,
And thank you for discernment.
Thank you for my ability to practice.
Whoever listens to this,
Wherever you are,
I want to remind you in this moment that love and the fullness of love is present and it is washing over you.
You are being constantly held in the arms of the infinite because that's how much God loves you.
I love you beautiful people.
Have the most amazing day.
You are the alchemist.
You are the magician.
I love you family.
