There are days when we simply need reassurance that everything will be alright and that we can rest into love knowing we are taken care of. Find rest as you listen to these words. Surrender anxiety knowing that you are seen and loved. Be reassured that all shall be well.

Hello and welcome again to today's meditation.

And today I want to offer something for when we need reassurance.

I know that it's something that I need quite regularly,

Just that reassurance that everything's going to be all right,

That I'm looked after and all will be well.

So I just want to offer some words that hopefully will bring you some reassurance.

If that's what you need at this time.

And before we get into that,

I just want to say again,

Just something about language.

So in these,

The words that I'm going to bring,

I'm using the language of God,

There's a few words from the Bible.

So I'm using Christian language around God,

Jesus,

Holy Spirit.

But please do supplement your own language.

And if you prefer to use other words,

Love,

The divine,

The universe,

Then please do use them.

Because although there is specific language,

The language of the heart and the language of reassurance is universal.

So please do adapt it to suit you.

So as we come into today's meditation,

As usual,

We're going to come to stillness.

And we're going to come into stillness through the breath.

Through bringing attention from our heads,

From the noise and activity in our heads,

Down into our hearts,

Into our body.

And as we do that,

We focus on breath.

Being aware of the movement of air.

Through the nose,

Across the throat and into the lungs.

And I invite you to take a few deeper,

Wider breaths.

Fully expanding and filling up the lungs,

Pushing out the belly.

And then exhaling.

And then going to empty.

Before inhaling again.

And perhaps you want to make the exhale a little longer than the inhale.

And this lengthening of the exhale brings the body to rest and to stillness.

So as you breathe deeply,

Pause gently at the top of the inhale and then allow that rolling over as you exhale.

Emptying the lungs,

Just letting that exhale go on for a little longer.

And pause again before breathing back in.

And as you continue with these deep,

Wide breaths,

Allow your shoulders to relax.

Allow your body to be supported and held by the chair.

Allow heaviness to come.

Be aware of any tension you may be carrying in your neck and shoulders.

Any tension that may be happening around your face,

Your eyes,

Your brow.

Allow everything to relax.

Gently let the tongue fall away from the roof of the mouth and settle down between the teeth.

And continue a few more deep,

Wide breaths as you come to stillness.

As you centre,

As you come to a place of settledness.

And when you feel that stillness has come,

You feel that you've settled and centred.

Check in with how you are today.

How you come to this contemplative time.

And as you bring attention to this question,

Be aware of how you feel in your body,

Your emotions,

Your thoughts.

What's going on for you in those three parts of your life?

And in this time of stillness,

Allow your body,

Your emotions and your thoughts and space to be heard.

Allow things to surface.

And as things surface,

Do you become aware of a need or any needs that you have in this moment?

Do you become aware of any places in you that need the reassurance that all will be well?

That everything is going to be alright?

Give those places of need,

Those places of needing reassurance,

Attention and space to be.

I'm going to read some words of a prayer,

Some words from Psalm 139 and then another simple prayer.

And as these words are read,

Welcome them as the reassuring love of God.

This love of God that holds and cares and sees.

This God that knows you more deeply than anyone else.

Know that these words meet you with loving kindness and welcome them as the reassurance you need.

Holy wisdom,

Mother God,

You hold my time in your hands.

Your providence guides the stars and my cells.

Your compassion opens my heart to healing in the midst of pain.

Help me rest in you.

Trusting the future in your care and giving comfort to those who mourn,

Hurt and face personal challenge.

In Christ's name,

Amen.

Oh Lord,

You have examined my heart and know everything about me.

You know when I sit down or stand up.

You know my thoughts even when I'm far away.

You see me when I travel and when I rest at home.

You know everything I do.

I remind myself that I am in the presence of God.

I will take refuge in her loving heart.

She is my strength in times of weakness.

She is my comforter in times of sorrow.

As I slowly repeat these words,

Be attentive to any that stand out to you and receive the truth they contain.

Holy wisdom,

Mother God,

You hold my time in your hands.

Your providence guides the stars and my cells.

Your compassion opens my heart to healing in the midst of pain.

Help me rest in you,

Trusting the future in your care and giving comfort to those who mourn,

Hurt and face personal challenge.

In Christ's name,

Amen.

Amen.

I'm just going to sit for a few moments to give space for those words to settle.

For the truth of those words to bring the reassurance that's needed.

Amen.

Amen.

Amen.

Amen.

Rest in the peace now of being known and loved.

Of your life being held and sustained by God,

By love,

By the creator of the universe.

Let go of any heavy weights you've been carrying and trust them to the one who cares for you more than you know.

Know that the love of God not only guides,

Holds and sustains the stars,

But also your life and every one of yourselves.

Allow these truths now to bring rest,

To bring reassurance.

Surrender to this love.

Welcome this sustaining power.

Be reassured that all will be well.

Thank you so much for joining me and may you be fully reassured today.

And may your needs be met by love,

By God.

And may peace and joy and love accompany you as you continue through your day and into the days ahead.

And I look forward to connecting again next time.

Bye.
