Hello friends and welcome to this simple meditation offering the welcoming prayer.
This prayer helps me let go of what I needn't be carrying.
It helps me let go of smallness,
Pettiness,
Offense and demands.
It helps me let go when I feel hurt.
When struggling with a difficult feeling,
It offers a structured way to embrace and accept it.
So it can be released and you can move on.
In accepting where we are,
We find forward movement.
God is present here,
Now,
In this feeling,
In this moment,
Whatever it contains.
From welcoming,
To accepting,
To letting go.
And in the letting go,
Space is created for love,
For peace,
For grace,
For what is needed to be given.
As we come to the prayer,
Arrive into this moment with all of your being,
Settling into a comfortable position and arriving into your body,
Letting it sink,
Release,
Be held and supported.
Notice your breathing,
Notice the rise and fall with the inhale and the exhale.
Know that here and now,
You are seen and loved.
Welcome,
Welcome,
Welcome.
I welcome everything that comes to me today,
Because I know it's for my healing.
I welcome all thoughts,
Feelings,
Emotions,
Persons,
Situations and conditions.
I let go of my desire for power and control.
I let go of my desire for affection,
Esteem,
Approval and pleasure.
I let go of my desire for survival and security.
I let go of my desire to change any situation,
Condition,
Person or myself.
I open to the love and presence of God and God's action within.
