Hi,

My name is Robert Aceves.

When you need to face a tense or stressful situation,

You can use breathing techniques to obtain greater peace of mind.

Start by taking a deep breath in,

Hold it for 3 seconds,

And let it out.

Take another deep breath in,

Hold it for 3 seconds,

And let it out.

Feel your body,

And now you can put your attention on your heart and that upper part of your chest.

Put all your attention there and feel your breath inhaling and exhaling.

Breathing slowly,

Gently,

And find a breathing rhythm that is comfortable for you.

And now you can put your attention on a pleasant sensation on your body,

A sensation that makes you feel good.

And finally,

As you keep breathing,

I want you to connect with a pleasant feeling.

Think of a person whom you love or admire very much.

Think of a special place that you love and makes you very happy.

Think of one of your happiest memories you have.

Try to recall the feelings and sensations in your body.

Think of an object that you love very much.

Think of your favorite food.

And now,

Gently let go of that image.

Now you can go back to your activities.

Thanks for your attention.

Am more present after using this, but also felt more grateful and joyful for the present. Thank you.

Wow. I really loved that. I am having a time of anxiety and this helped. I appreciated that it wasn’t just about breathing but also focusing on pleasant thoughts and memories.
