Thank you for this; it really helped confirm that I’m making the right (but still hard) decision in a relationship. β€οΈβ€πŸ©Ή Someone who’s harmed me greatly throughout my lifeβ€”never intentionally, but as a consequence of coping mechanisms that hurt themselves as well, like denial and self-medicationβ€”did it again by giving me a virus that could worsen my existing health issues, or cause new ones. This cannot ever happen again, so I need to have very strict rules of engagement going forward, which they probably can’t abide by. That means I’ll have even less contact with them. It makes me terribly sad, but they don’t get to (quite literally) take years off my life, or render me no longer able to work and support myself or live independently. The most compassionate (and best for my physical and mental health) thing I can do for myself is to accept that this person isn’t who I need them to be, and engage only in very limited, healthy ways.

Thank you for reminding me that the sadness I am feeling won’t last forever even though in the moment it feels like it. πŸ’”

Feeling much calmer and grounded. Will return back to this when panic arises.

This was very helpful. With this meditation I was able to de-escalate my fury substantially. I appreciated the clear instructions for the different types of breathwork *before* beginning each one. I am especially grateful for the acknowledgment that my anger is valid, and for the reminder to feel it without attaching to it. I’m not sure 100% clear on what feeling it without attaching looks like, but it resonated strongly with me and I felt it happening during the meditation. I would like to learn more about that and how to do it when I feel triggered.

I often struggle with rumination after a challenging interaction or conflict. My mind replays and hyper focuses on the topic. I try many mindfulness strategies and positive distractions, with only short temporary relief. I had a positive interrupttion with this meditation and will add it to my routine to help build new neural pathways redirecting thoughts to the present.
