I have been mourning the death of Tokitae, the captured Orca at the Miami Seaquarium who was to be returned home to the PNW this winter. Listening to this I felt her spirit swimming free with her L pod ancestors in the Salish Sea. Thank you.

I love the playful expression of the shakuhachi in this track, and I love that you grew the bamboo and fashioned the beautiful instrument yourself. I’m honoured to have one of your expertly crafted Shakuhachi in my possession and hope to play it like you one day. I’m also honoured to call you my friend. Thank you for sharing your inspirational music with us all. 💚
