Your body is amazing.

The body you have today is not the body you were born with.

The body you were born with was much smaller.

You've grown,

See?

And every day your body is a little bit different.

That's why it is so important to remember and celebrate and love and cherish the body you have right now.

Because it is going to change.

The body you have right now has been through a lot.

Can you be willing to love it exactly as it is?

Can you enjoy how it feels to move and rest and nourish this sweet body of yours?

Can you feel how delicious it feels just to breathe or to feel your heartbeat?

When you shower,

Can you feel how good it feels when the water runs over your skin from head to toe?

Can you love every part from your baby toe to your belly button to that sweet bend in your elbow to your perfectly shaped earlobe?

Can you enjoy how it feels to have a body,

Even if it's different from how it used to be or from how you want it to be?

Could we try this?

Just love and enjoy having a body.

Come down to the floor.

Let your legs be long and extend your arms out wide like a star.

Close your eyes and just feel the ground supporting you.

Holding all of your weight to the earth and feeling all of the support of this planet holding you exactly as you are.

Wiggle your fingers.

Wiggle the toes.

And then coming into stillness with your eyes closed and just feeling the wonderful expanse of your body here on the floor.

Feeling the movement of your breath.

And then bringing both hands to rest on your low belly.

And letting your belly be soft,

Letting it pooch out a little bit.

And feeling the warmth and the weight of your hands as they rest on your beautiful belly.

And saying to yourself,

Thank you,

I love you.

Saying to your belly,

Thank you,

I love you.

And breathing here for a few moments.

Becoming your body,

Enjoying how it feels.

And then bringing one hand to rest near your heart center.

Leaving the other to stay with your belly.

And as you hold yourself with one hand resting near your heart,

The other resting with your belly.

Breathing in and saying to yourself,

Thank you,

I love you.

And maybe you haven't said this in a while,

So just notice how it feels to hold yourself,

To feel the warmth of your own hands.

Maybe you notice the movement of your breath within you.

Maybe you feel the movement of your heart.

Thank you,

I love you.

To your heart.

To your breath.

To your belly.

Becoming and holding your body exactly as it is.

And then keeping one hand on your belly,

Bring your other hand to rest near the very crown of your head.

So the elbow is bent,

Laying out wide.

Perhaps find the crown of your head.

And saying to yourself,

Thank you,

I love you.

Exactly as you are,

Right here,

Right now.

And feeling this connection from the crown of your head all the way down past your heart into the belly,

And even the awareness of the full length of the legs down into the toes and the soles of the feet.

Resting in the presence of your own kindness.

As you enjoy this body of yours,

Exactly as it is right now.

And after this breath,

Extend both arms wide.

Stretching the arms out big like a star,

Pointing the toes,

Lifting the chin.

And then bringing your knees in close,

Giving them a hug.

Maybe rocking the knees side to side.

And if you want to,

You can run your hands over any part of yourself as though you were bringing a little more love and thanks to every part of your body.

From head to toe,

The arms and legs,

The hips and chest,

Let your hands move over yourself and just enjoy how it feels to have this body today.

And then coming into stillness,

Letting both legs rest long,

Arms by your side.

Every day,

Your body is a little bit different.

It is always changing.

And it is yours just for this moment.

So enjoy.

And remember that you can bring this to yourself anytime you need it.

Thank you.

I love you.

In case you forget,

All you have to do is come back home to yourself.

And when you feel ready,

Let your eyes open,

Take a big stretch,

And enjoy being alive.
