
Lucid Dreaming Guided Meditation For Beginners
This session will teach you how you can achieve lucid dreaming with practice and dedication. If you use the techniques in this guide and practice lucid dreaming it will come naturally to you eventually. The guide will cover tips and tricks you can practice during your daily life. Use this guide as a tool. If you're really determined to learn lucid dreaming, use it every night and practice. Make sure you are not disturbed while listening to this, so you can be fully immersed in the session.

Lucid dreaming occurs when you are aware that you are dreaming while your body is asleep.
You wake up within the dream and you are able to control the dream and explore whatever you desire,
Consciously,
Within the dream.
In this beginner's guide to lucid dreaming,
We will begin with tips and techniques that will help prepare you for a successful lucid dreaming practice.
Then I will guide you through a relaxation meditation,
Followed by visualizations for what you wish to obtain within the lucid dream.
Toward the end,
I will give your subconscious suggestions for becoming lucid within the dream.
Before you begin relaxing too deeply,
Know that there are two ways in which you can lucid dream tonight.
One involves becoming lucid from within the dream.
For this,
You won't need to do anything physically in order to prepare.
The other involves setting an alarm clock right now for about 4-5 hours after you have fallen asleep.
This usually falls around 4 or 5 am.
The chances at succeeding a lucid dream in this manner is high since you would be waking up straight from a dream within your REM sleep cycle.
During the REM sleep cycle,
Our minds are alert and our brain functions are identical to those that occur when we are awake.
REM stands for Rapid Eye Movement.
Once you wake up,
Get up gently for about 15 minutes and you can then listen to the last part of this recording,
Which will have the affirmations as you fall into a conscious dream.
Or you will remember your lucid dream plan that we will work on in this recording.
Remember to keep your digital devices brightness on low so that it doesn't affect your eyesight or state of mind upon waking up.
You can also get a blue light blocking screen protector for your phone so that your sleep is not disrupted after looking at your phone or alarm.
So take a moment to think about which method you would like to try.
And before we begin the relaxation meditation,
Set your alarm if you decide to try waking up 4-5 hours from now.
I would also like to advise you to have a dream journal nearby with a pen or pencil available in case you wake up from a dream and wish to write it down.
Writing a dream journal is an essential part of increasing dream recall and triggering lucidity within a dream.
Writing your dreams down will help you to discover recurring elements or characters within your dreams.
These are called dream signs.
You would be using imagery that already appears in your dreams quite often and transforming them into reality checks.
Whenever you see that dream sign,
It will serve as a trigger for lucidity.
You can then ask yourself,
Am I dreaming?
And perform a reality check.
Many people look at their hands and see if they have 10 fingers.
If you are dreaming,
Your hands might begin to look a bit different than in reality.
You can also look in the mirror in the dream and ask yourself the same question,
Am I dreaming?
You can proceed to touch the mirror or just observe your face.
Some people experience seeing versions of themselves from the past or different hair colors or eye colors and this makes them realize they are in a dream.
Others try to push their index finger into the palm of the other hand.
If it goes through,
Then you are dreaming.
To really ingrain that in your subconscious,
You can practice these reality checks or dream sign awareness exercises in your waking reality.
If you often dream of your cell phone,
Then you can set several alarms or program events for yourself in your calendar that will pop up on your phone with the title that you will set as,
Am I dreaming?
Eventually,
These elements will begin to seep into your sleeping consciousness.
You can get as creative as you want,
But before we continue,
Let's first get you into a nice and comfortable position on your bed.
And make sure that you will not be disturbed for the remainder of this recording.
Lay down on your back and close your eyes.
Begin focusing on your breath.
Take a deep breath in through your nose,
Letting the air fill your tummy.
And then exhale through your mouth slowly.
Take another deep breath through your nose and slowly exhale once again.
Now allow your breathing to settle into its natural,
Automatic rhythm as you prepare yourself for a deep,
Relaxing meditation.
No matter what sort of day you've had,
This is a moment that you have all to yourself and you give yourself permission to let go and unwind.
A moment to focus on things you love like lucid dreaming.
Know that you can at any time wake up in case you need to and you are completely in control at all times.
Slowly begin to feel a nice and soothing warmth around your feet.
The feeling is so good like a gentle massage,
Relaxing all the muscles around your toes and feet.
The warm relaxation moves up to your ankles and calves,
Relaxing all the muscles big and small.
You feel peaceful and relaxed as you feel the warm relaxing energy enter your knees and upper thighs,
Relaxing all the muscle groups in your legs.
It feels so good to just be as the warm and soothing feeling enters your buttocks and pelvic area,
Traveling into your lower abdomen,
Releasing all tension and just relaxing.
The warm relaxing feeling moves up into your chest and enters your heart space.
Feels so good and peaceful.
This relaxing energy moves into your hands and all the way up to your wrist,
Elbows and upper arm muscles,
Relaxing all the muscles in your arms.
This relaxing feeling now moves up your back and spinal column,
Relaxing all the big and small muscles all the way up to your shoulders,
Releasing all tension,
Releasing any stress that you might be holding and feeling calm and peaceful.
This relaxing feeling travels up your neck into your chin,
Jaw,
Cheeks,
Nose,
Eyes,
Temples and forehead,
Relaxing all the muscles of your face.
It feels so good to let go of all facial expressions and just allow and relax.
The wave of relaxation now travels up to your scalp,
Relaxing your head completely.
You feel good and calm and completely relaxed,
Enjoying having nothing to do but relax,
Basking in the warm and relaxing feeling.
Now that you are relaxed,
Set your intention to have a lucid dream tonight.
Visualize the lucid dream you want to have.
This is your lucid dream plan.
What do you imagine you would like to explore in a lucid dream?
Imagine you become lucid,
The excitement that you will feel and knowing exactly what you would like to explore.
Imagine all the smells,
Tastes and touch.
Feel into the emotion as if it was happening right now.
Do you want to fly,
Meet your spirit guide or have a chat with a celebrity or author?
Do you want to eat your favourite food or see a loved one that has passed?
Take your time forming an experience you would like to have.
Really anchor it in using all your senses and imagining every detail.
Understand all the things that have crossed you.
You You The dream body is free and doesn't have the same constraints as in our physical reality You Feel your dream body being lighter and lighter Until you lift off the ground And soar into the sky above The sky can be a regular sky Or you can visualize it with moons,
Suns and planets The possibilities in a dream are endless And you are free to play If you have trouble lifting off the ground You can practice saying commands out loud In your dream such as Fly now Lift off or spirit guide Remember your dream body is boundless and free Don't feel frustrated in the dream if you can't control or shift everything Sometimes the key is just to let go,
