First,
Find a quiet and comfortable space where you can sit or lie down without any distractions.
I'd like to invite you to close your eyes,
If that feels comfortable for you.
Otherwise,
Simply lower your gaze.
Take a few deep breaths to relax your body and calm your mind.
Inhale deeply through your nose.
Hold for a few seconds.
And then exhale slowly through your mouth.
Do that three more times at your own pace.
See yourself at a small outdoor spa center,
Where eight hot springs are nestled in the foot of a tall mountain.
This spa gets particularly busy,
So you've arrived early in the morning.
To avoid the throngs of people later in the day.
You glance around at the landscape and notice mist hovering over the hot springs.
It swirls and dances in delicate wisps.
The mist carries with it the faint scent of minerals and earth,
Mingling with the natural fragrances of the surrounding plants.
You watch as the mist drifts lazily across the surface of the water,
Casting a soft,
Diffused light over the scene.
It catches the rays of the sun,
Creating a halo of golden hues that play upon the surface of the hot spring.
As you step into this tranquil oasis,
A wave of calmness washes over you,
Carrying away the stresses of the outside world.
The air is infused with the earthy scent of pine trees and the delicate fragrance of wildflowers,
Creating a wonderful mixture of natural aromas that surround your senses.
You decide to follow a winding path,
Lined with small pebbles.
The sound of trickling water draws you closer to the heart of the spa,
Where a cluster of steaming hot springs awaits.
Their inviting warmth promising relaxation.

Approaching the first hot spring,
You feel the heat emanating from the bubbling water,
Sending tingles of anticipation through your body.
With a contented sigh,
You slip into the silky waters of the thermal pool.
Feeling the tension melt away from your muscles,
As the soothing heat wraps itself around you.
The temperature of the water is just right.
The sensation is pure bliss,
Like being cradled by the nurturing embrace of Mother Nature herself.
As you sink deeper into the hot spring,
You close your eyes and allow yourself to be carried away by the symphony of sensations.
The water caresses your skin with its gentle touch,
Its warmth seeping into every pore,
And melting away the knots of tension that have accumulated over time.
You revel in the sensation of weightlessness,
Feeling as though you're floating on a cloud of pure delight.
While soaking in the hot water,
You decide that it would be a good idea to practice a special relaxation technique,
Which involves tensing each muscle group for a few seconds,
Then releasing and relaxing,
Before moving on to the next muscle group.
So,
Let's start with the hands.
Clench your fists tightly,
Feeling the tension in your hands and forearms.
Hold for a few seconds,
Then release and relax.
Then move to your arms.
Tighten your biceps by flexing your arms.
Hold for a few seconds,
Then release and allow the tension to melt away.
Let's move to your shoulders.
Raise your shoulders towards your ears,
Creating tension.

Now release and let your shoulders drop down naturally.
Now move to your face.
Scrunch up your face by squinting your eyes,
Clenching your jaw and wrinkling your forehead.
Hold the tension.
Now release and allow your facial muscles to relax.
Now let's concentrate on your chest and abdomen.
Take a deep breath in.
Hold it for a few seconds to feel the tension in your chest and abdomen.
Now exhale slowly and completely,
Letting go of any remaining tension in those areas.
Proceed to the legs next.
Now tense your thigh muscles by pressing your heels into the ground and tightening your thighs.
Hold briefly.
Now release and feel the relaxation spreading through your legs.
Finally,
Let's focus on your feet.
Curl your toes downward,
Creating tension in your feet and calves.
Hold.
Now release and allow your feet and calves to relax in the water.
Completely.

You steel yourself for the impending plunge.
The wooden railings feel solid beneath your grip as you lean over,
Peering into the crystal depths below.
Droplets of water sparkle in the sunlight,
Hinting at the chill that lies ahead.
The water is as cold as it is warm.

Your bare feet meet the smooth,

You gather your resolve and plunge into the frigid pool.

Amid the initial chill,
A surge of exhilaration courses through your veins,

Love your voice. I liked the part walking across the wooden bridge. I was trying to sleep and the invigorating part really worked! Probably would listen again at a different time of day next time was it didn't leave me sleepy. This would be lovely in the morning

As I was in a Hot Tub, on the deck of a mountain cabin in Morganton, GA the hot spring was real. I had to imagine the cold plunge. Very enjoyable.
