One of the biggest problems is we're too hard on ourself in this world.
Self-reflection is a good thing,
But people that overthink can often go down the rabbit holes of their mind and compare themselves to other people and beat themselves up.
So in this meditation the mantra is I cannot do wrong.
In this time,
I'm gonna take you on a small guided journey.
And it doesn't matter what you do,
What you think,
How you feel.
There's no right way of doing it.
You cannot do wrong.
So basically you're giving yourself an opportunity to feel good.
To do good for yourself.
It doesn't matter if your mind wonders.
It doesn't matter if you don't follow the breathing exactly right.
As long as you just give it a go.
Then accept your imperfections and just refocus back on my voice.
You cannot do wrong.
Close your eyes and imagine yourself walking along a shoreline.
Your shoes are off and your socks are off and you can feel the water washing over your feet.
And it's cool and refreshing.
The sand is wet and squishing in between your toes with every step.
It truly is a beautiful summer's evening.
The sun is low in the sky and everything's orange.
And I want you to imagine this scene in your own way and let that good feeling wash over you.
However you imagine it,
You cannot do wrong.
This is yours.
This is your place to imagine.
Your safe haven.
Everything you are doing is perfect.
You keep walking along the shoreline,
Listening to the waves crash beneath your feet.
Slowly wash over your toes.
Everything is perfect right now.
You cannot do wrong.
I want you to feel the love of this moment.
This love was meant for you.
Feel it.
Embody that good feeling.
Allow the emotion to go through your body and permeate every single cell.
Up into your legs,
Into your arms and your head.
You are in a beautiful place and experiencing an amazing feeling right now.
Everything is right just the way it is.
You take a few steps away from the ocean.
Turn back towards the ocean so you're facing it and take a seat on the sand below you.
This part of the sand is more dry and it's very comfortable to sit on.
I want you to look out over the ocean and just visualize the beauty.
The seagulls flying over,
The beautiful sun in the background very low and everything's orange.
You can hear the waves and you're just watching the ocean move and the beautiful blue sky above you,
Which is radiating orange.
You are doing everything right.
It is as it is meant to be.
No need to self-evaluate or overthink here and if you do that's okay.
Just return back to the moment.
No need to judge.
Everything you do is fine.
Just feel and just be.
Visualize.
Relax.
Okay.
I want you to just begin focusing on your breath.
Once again there's no right way of doing this.
So just follow my guidance and if you don't do it perfectly that's fine.
That's how it is meant to be.
Breathe in through your nose and out through your mouth.
Breathe in through your nose and out through your mouth.
It's this simple.
Continue breathing this way at your own pace.
Don't force it,
Just make it a relaxed breathing session.
And continue visualizing the beautiful ocean in front of you.
You cannot do wrong.
Relax.
Feel the love radiating through your body.
Okay,
I slowly want you to bring your attention back to the room.
Notice the feeling of your feet,
Your hands and your body here and now in the present moment.
Going forward I want you to be gentle with yourself.
If you've been overthinking too much then maybe it's time to give yourself a break.
And I know that's easier said than done.
But a tip that I found very helpful was reminding myself every day that whatever I do and however I think it's okay.
Because what makes overthinking worse is when you really try and desperately stop it.
All you have to do is when you notice you're doing it just say to yourself,
That's okay.
Rather than,
I'm frustrated.
Just be like,
I was just overthinking,
That's okay.
And then refocus your mind.
And it doesn't matter how many times you do it,
Just every time be gentle with yourself.
That's okay.
It's okay.
And that will stop you from beating yourself up too much.
Which will make you overthink more and you kind of get stuck in this vicious cycle.
So the trick is being gentle with yourself.
It's okay.
I hope you have a wonderful day.
Thank you for listening.
