Close your eyes and take a deep breath in,
And as you breathe out allow your body to begin letting go.
Let go of the day,
Let go of the thoughts that cling,
Let go of the tension that may be hiding in your shoulders,
Or in your jaw,
Or in your hands.
Inhale slowly,
Gently,
And exhale allowing every breath to carry you closer to peace.
There is nothing to do,
Nowhere to be,
Just this moment.
Just your breath,
And the soft rhythm of stillness.
With each breath,
Feel yourself softening.
Feel your body becoming more relaxed,
As if melting into the surface beneath you.
Feel the surface beneath you gently holding you,
Safe,
Supported,
And grounded.
This is your time,
This is your space for healing,
For surrender,
For bliss.
Now bring your awareness to your feet,
Feel them softening and relaxing,
Let that gentle wave of relaxation travel up through your ankles,
And then into your calves.
Release all the tension they may be carrying,
And your thighs.
With every exhale feel more weight leaving your body,
Let the muscles of your legs loosen and rest.
And now your hips,
Allow your hips to sink deeper into the surface,
Let them become heavy and grounded.
And now bring your awareness to your lower back,
Imagine it unwinding,
Releasing pressure,
Uncoiling any tightness.
And move that feeling up to your mid back,
And to your upper back,
Each vertebrae softening like warm wax.
Let your shoulders drop,
They don't need to carry anything tonight,
Allow your arms to rest beside you.
Release your hands and your fingers,
Let them open and relax completely.
And now bring your awareness to your neck and your jaw,
Soften your jaw and unclench your teeth.
Let your tongue rest gently in your mouth,
Soften your cheeks,
Your eyes,
Your forehead,
Let the muscles of your face melt into a calm expression of peace.
And now imagine a soft light above your head,
It is warm and gentle and radiant.
This light begins to pour down over you like a waterfall of calm.
It flows over your scalp,
Your face,
Your neck,
Down your shoulders,
Your chest,
Your belly.
With every place it touches,
Fear dissolves,
It washes away doubt,
It clears the mind of worry.
This light is pure,
It carries peace,
It carries a knowing that everything is ok and you are safe.
Feel this light continue to move through your body,
Down your hips,
Your thighs,
Into your knees,
Your shins,
Your ankles and your feet.
You are bathed in it now,
You are surrounded by it,
You are safe,
You are whole.
Now bring your attention to your breath again,
Inhale through your nose and exhale through your mouth.
With each breath I invite you to imagine breathing in light,
Breathing in peace and as you exhale imagine breathing out fear,
Breathing out anything that does not serve you tonight.
Inhale trust,
Inhale peace,
Exhale fear,
Inhale trust,
Exhale doubt.
Let the breath guide you deeper and deeper into calm.
Now imagine you are standing at the edge of a beautiful forest at night.
The sky above you is deep indigo speckled with stars,
There is a soft glow of moonlight guiding your way,
And though the forest is dark,
It is not frightening,
It is quiet,
Peaceful,
Ancient.
With each step you take,
The soft earth welcomes you,
You feel completely safe here.
Each step leads you deeper into calm,
The trees whisper gently in the breeze,
The leaves rustle softly,
Almost as if they are singing to you,
Welcoming you and protecting you.
You walk slowly at your own pace,
With every step,
Fear slips away.
Each step grounds you,
Anchors you in peace.
Now,
In the distance,
You see a clearing,
A circle of open space surrounded by trees and bathed in moonlight.
In the centre of this clearing,
A small fire burns,
The flames flicker gently,
Giving off a warm golden glow.
This fire is not hot,
It is soothing,
It is not made of destruction,
But of release.
As you approach the fire,
You notice something remarkable,
This fire knows your fears,
It knows the ones you have spoken and the ones you have kept hidden,
It knows your pain,
And it is here to help you let go.
You take a seat near the fire,
Feeling its warmth wrap around you like a blanket.
There is no need to resist,
No need to fear the release,
This is a sacred space,
And you are safe here,
You are held here.
Now imagine placing your fears one by one into the fire,
You don't need to name them if you don't want to,
You could simply see them as small objects,
Shapes,
Colours or symbols,
And gently drop them into the fire.
As they touch the flames,
They transform,
They are not burned,
They are transmuted,
They become light,
They become love,
They become part of the peace that surrounds you now.
With each fear you release,
You feel lighter,
More open and more free,
You may even feel a gentle smile forming on your face,
Because in this moment,
You are no longer afraid,
You are resting in truth,
In peace and in light.
The fire continues to glow beside you,
And now the clearing begins to fill with light,
The moon above shines even more brightly,
The stars seem closer,
Like diamonds scattered across velvet.
You feel this light filling your heart,
Soft,
Warm and radiant,
This is not just calm,
It is bliss,
It is the joy that comes from knowing you are safe,
That you are loved,
That you are whole.
Feel it expand through your chest,
Down through your belly,
Into your throat and up into your face,
Just feel this bliss radiating through every cell.
Let it stay with you now,
Let it guide you into the deepest rest,
There is nothing left to do,
All is well,
And as sleep comes,
It carries you into a space beyond fear,
A space of pure presence,
Of peace,
Of bliss.
You are held,
You are protected,
You are home,
Sleep now and let go,
Sleep now and be at peace,
Sleep now and return to bliss.
