Hello and welcome to this guided meditation session.
In this session we are going to find a place of peace and serenity.
Firstly I'd like you to find a comfortable place in which to be seated or lying down where you can feel relaxed throughout this meditation.
There's no pressure to do anything the right way,
There's no such thing as the right way,
Just be gentle with yourself,
Listen to my voice and follow my guidance.
Close your eyes and imagine yourself walking alongside a beautiful serene lake.
It's late afternoon and you're beginning to see the Sun slowly moving down over the horizon so there's an orange tint in the sky.
There are some clouds floating above you slowly as there's a very light breeze in the air.
There are some swans slowly swimming across the lake dipping their head in the cold water and you just look at them for some time,
You appreciate what they are.
I'll give you a minute or so just to watch these swans gracefully floating across the lake.
You take a closer look at one of the swans and you notice that one of the swans actually has a brown wing.
It looks so unique and you think to yourself about the diversity of life that truly is out there.
You reflect on this diversity and think about the special characteristics and unique traits that you have that makes you important.
What makes you unique?
That's the key question to life because when you can find that unique part of yourself that you can offer to the world then you really can do amazing things because there's no one else out there quite like you.
So take another minute or so just reflecting on your own unique qualities and how you can offer them to the world.
You take one deep breath in through your nose and out through your mouth and you feel a sense of relaxation just sweeping over your body.
You might begin to feel a tingling sensation in the ends of your fingers and the ends of your toes and that's just a sign that you're truly at peace with yourself right now.
Grateful for life and you're in a place of self-love appreciating your uniqueness.
You take a walk and move closer towards the lake and take a seat on the floor.
Sitting in a patch of grass overlooking the lake and you can see the sun's reflection beaming onto the water and glistening like white sparkles.
Once again you just sit here by the lake and just look over its magnificence and appreciate every moment.
You continue to stay seated by the lake notice the swans just still slowly floating out there.
They're not overthinking,
They haven't got a million plans ahead of them,
They're just taking every moment at a time and you take this into consideration with your own life.
Are there times where you feel overwhelmed and you've got too much to do and too much on your plate?
How can you be more like these swans,
Carefree and just living moment by moment?
Because sometimes it's not about adding more to your schedule,
Sometimes it's just about taking things away from your schedule which aren't actually serving you so you can find peace in the present moment.
Sit here for a while in this peace and reflect on how you can make your life a little bit easier for yourself because life is all about being gentle with yourself and being as loving to yourself as possible.
Take a moment to say out loud or within your mind some gratitude,
Just be grateful for this moment,
Be appreciative of the fact that you've had this time out of your day to unwind and truly feel at peace.
Spend a minute in this gratitude.
