Begin by finding a comfortable position either seated or lying down.
Allow your body to settle and gently close your eyes if that feels safe for you.
Take a slow deep breath in through your nose and release it through your mouth.
Again inhale steady and full.
Then exhale letting go of any tension you may be holding.
With each breath invite yourself to arrive fully in this moment.
Bring your attention to your body.
Notice where you feel supported,
By the chair,
The floor,
The earth beneath you.
Whatever it may be,
Let that support remind you that you are held,
You do not have to carry everything alone.
Soften your shoulders,
Unclench your jaw,
And now allow your breath to return to a natural easy rhythm.
Now gently bring your awareness to your heart space.
Imagine a warm steady light glowing there.
This light represents your inherent worth,
The part of you that exists simply because you are alive.
This worth does not need to be earned,
It does not depend on productivity,
Appearance,
Success or approval.
It is already yours.
And as you breathe in,
Imagine that light growing brighter.
As you breathe out,
Let it spread through your chest,
Into your arms and your hands.
Let it move through your neck and face,
Relaxing your brow and softening your expression.
Allow it to travel downward through your torso,
Into your hips and your legs all the way to your feet.
Your entire body is now gently illuminated by this quiet loving presence.
If thoughts arise like self-criticism,
Doubt or old stories,
Notice them without judgment.
You don't need to fight them or follow them.
Simply acknowledge them and imagine placing them gently outside your awareness,
Like setting down a candle or a candlelight.
Imagine a heavy bag you no longer need to carry.
And as you let go of that heavy bag,
You can silently repeat these words in your mind,
Allowing them to land in their own time.
I am worthy of love.
I am enough as I am.
I deserve kindness,
Especially from myself.
If resistance appears,
That's okay.
You don't have to force belief.
Just allow the words to be an offering,
A possibility.
Even being open to the idea of self-love is enough for now.
Now I'd like you to reflect for a moment on the fact that you have survived.
Everything that has brought you here.
Everything that you have learned,
Adapted and continued,
Even when it was hard.
There is strength in that.
There is value in that.
And there's beauty in your persistence,
Even when it feels messy or imperfect.
Now imagine offering yourself the same compassion you would give someone you deeply care about.
Picture speaking to yourself with patience,
With warmth and understanding.
Let yourself feel what it's like to be met with gentleness rather than judgment.
Take one more deep breath in,
Filling your body with appreciation.
And as you exhale,
Release the need to be anything other than who you are in this moment.
And when you're ready,
Slowly bring your awareness back to the room around you.
Wiggle your fingers and toes.
And as you open your eyes,
Carry this truth with you.
Your worth is not conditional.
It is constant.
And you are allowed to love yourself exactly as you are.
