Welcome to this guided meditation,
Designed to help ground you in the present moment.
Throughout this practice,
We will cultivate a strong connection with the here and now,
Allowing us to find peace,
Clarity and a sense of stability.
Please find a comfortable seated position,
Either on the floor or on a chair,
With your back straight but relaxed.
Rest your hands on your lap,
Palms facing up or down,
Whatever feels natural for you.
Gently close your eyes and take a deep breath in,
Followed by a slow exhale,
Releasing any tension or distractions from your mind and body.
Let's continue this awareness of breath.
Take a few moments to observe the natural rhythm of your inhalation and exhalation.
Notice the sensation of the breath entering and leaving your body.
With each breath,
Imagine inhaling calmness and exhaling any restlessness or worries.
I am present with each breath.
Now let's progress this meditation further.
I'd like you to imagine yourself standing barefoot on a lush green field.
Feel the coolness of the earth beneath your feet,
Supporting and grounding you.
Visualize roots extending from the soles of your feet,
Reaching deep into the earth,
Anchoring you securely.
I am rooted and grounded in the present moment.
Bring your attention to your body.
Scan through each part,
Starting from your toes,
Moving up to your legs,
Your torso,
Your arms and finally your head.
Notice any areas of tension or discomfort without judgment.
Imagine each breath flowing to these areas,
Releasing any tightness or stress.
Allow yourself to feel relaxed in this moment.
I'll give you a couple of minutes to work your way up through your body.
I am fully present in my body.
Shift your focus to your senses.
Observe the sound around you.
Notice any smells or fragrances.
Feel the temperature of the air against your skin.
Just pay attention to any sensations,
Such as the texture of your clothes or the weight of your body against the surface you are sitting on.
Use this time to become aware of your body.
To become aware of your five senses.
I am fully immersed in the present moment.
As thoughts arise,
Acknowledge their presence,
But gently let them go.
Imagine each thought as a cloud passing by in the sky.
Refrain from getting entangled in them and instead return your attention to your breath in the present moment.
This is all about being able to let go of thought without judgment and just allowing yourself to simply be.
I release thoughts that do not serve me.
Take a moment to express gratitude for this present moment,
Recognizing the beauty and wonder that it holds.
Cultivate appreciation for this opportunity to ground yourself and find calmness within it.
Let this moment be the most perfect moment of existence.
Because it is the only moment that exists.
The here and now is all there will ever be.
And this will allow you to release anxiety of the past or the future.
Because things that have been have been,
And things that will be,
Will be.
But all that ever exists is what's happening now.
Cultivate this moment.
I am grateful for the present moment.
Slowly bring your awareness back to your body,
Feeling the sensation of your breath and the weight of your body.
As you begin to do this,
Gently open your eyes.
When you are ready,
Let's carry this sensation of grounding and presence throughout the rest of your day.
