Discovering Your Past and Changing Your Future We'll be working on discovering your past regarding a variety of issues that affect your ability to lose weight and keep it off.

Your behavior at any given moment is dependent upon the information you have about yourself and the type of situation you are in.

Whenever you have to make a choice,

You look to this knowledge stored in your brain in order to come to a decision.

And much of this information comes from your parents.

When you were young,

The only road map you had to define your reality was that of your parents.

Because of this,

It is important to take time to determine how they felt about thinness,

Fatness,

Food and success.

Then you'll be determining how you feel about the same issues.

After this,

You are prepared to determine what belief changes you would like to make.

This will help you change the future.

It will free you from old beliefs that have made it difficult to practice the new habits and attitudes you are striving for.

So take time to honestly and completely answer the following questions.

First,

How did your parents feel about the following issues and then decide how you feel about the same issues?

Being thin.

Thin people.

Being fat.

Fat people.

What to eat.

Where to eat.

When to eat.

How much to eat.

Snacks.

Celebrations and eating.

Holidays and eating.

Achieving success.

Failure and liking one's body.

Now let's discuss changing your future.

Using the information you obtained discovering your past as well as your desires for the future,

Answer the following questions.

How are you like your parents?

What would you like to change?

And how will you go about making each of these changes?
