Welcome and thank you for joining me.
My name is Elliot and I'll be your guide for this meditation.
Check in with the body.
Observe any sensations.
Check in with the mind.
Each thought is merely a cloud floating away.
Check in with your emotions.
Simply notice any impulsive reactions.
The breath is relaxed and natural.
And you're just noticing how it feels to be seated here in this present moment.
Draw the focus of your attention to the breath.
Allow your awareness to ride the shifting tides of the natural and full breath.
Follow the breath all the way from the entrance of the nostrils down to the belly and then filling out the lungs and chest.
Feel the entire body gently expand and become gradually full of air.
Follow the breath all the way in and all the way out.
Focus your attention in the area of the heart now.
Located just slightly left of the center of the chest.
Keep your attention on the heart center for the next few moments.
Now,
Tuning into whatever part of the body you're feeling stress or unease the strongest.
Place your right hand over the heart and feel the gentle touch that you can offer yourself.
Feel whatever amount of love you currently have for yourself flowing from the hand to the body and feel it very naturally find its way to where you feel the discomfort most.
Breathe in.
Breathe out.
Feel love flowing into your heart center.
Each time you inhale,
Breathe in a kind,
Soothing and tender breath.
Feel it go right into where the sensations of pain or discomfort may be the strongest.
Each time you exhale,
Let go of all your stresses.
Softening and settling into this moment as you breathe kindness and tenderness into the discomfort tending to it as you would tend to a loved one who was hurting.
When you breathe in,
Feel the body charge up with loving energy.
When you breathe out,
Feel all the fear and hesitation melt away.
When you breathe in,
Feel the body charge up with loving energy.
Allow my words to move through you as if they were your own.
May my heart be open.
May my hand be open.
May I be happy.
May you be happy.
May we all be happy.
May I be disciplined and delighted in helping others.
May I attract others who also take care of me.
May my heart speak clearly to me when I need to recharge.
May I honor my heart's messages and know when to take space for myself.
We are all deserving of love.
May we all help one another.
May my heart be open.
May my hand be open.
May I be happy.
May you be happy.
May we all be happy.
May I be disciplined and delighted in helping others.
May I attract others who also take care of me.
May my heart speak clearly to me when I need to recharge.
May I honor my heart's messages and know when to take space for myself.

Recognizing that awareness contains everything we are,
Gently take a long,
Slow,
Deep breath in,
And breathe out.
Take your own time and slowly open your eyes once again.
See if you can take this quality of awareness with you into your day and into your life.
