What is it to live effortlessly?

What does it mean to live effortlessly?

Is it a mindset?

Is it the way that we deal with stress?

Is it available to everyone?

Is struggle inherent to our existence?

Can intention and action eliminate stress and influence the course of our lives?

The truth is,

Many things we do are done unconsciously.

Reactions to events ruled by the mind's engrossing storytelling.

This is my way,

And that is your way.

It's the source of so much resistance,

And it's such a simple misunderstanding.

We are all connected with everything around us.

We know that we cannot live without the Earth,

But we still haven't caught up with our impact and responsibility on this planet.

The more we live consciously,

The more we learn to let go of what doesn't serve our well-being,

Desires,

And truth,

And the more we embrace what elevates our experience to joy,

Happiness,

And health.

Good morning,

And please take a position and relax a little bit more.

Let me close the eyes and mouth.

As you continue waking up,

Relax into this moment and open your senses.

Breathe in.

What can you sense around you?

Breathe out.

The body is releasing any tension.

Get in touch with your senses.

Breathe in.

Maybe there's a scent in the air,

Or the taste of your mouth,

Or a sound in the room you're in,

Or something in the distance.

Moisture in the air.

Pressure between you and the ground.

Taking a moment to acknowledge the surroundings and distractions that may be nearby or within.

There's no need to identify with anything.

Try to remain empty and clear.

Allow your mind to relax.

Body relaxed.

Any distractions can be acknowledged and then released.

Feeling the breath,

Being the breath,

Breathing deeply and relaxed,

Natural.

The breath is breathing you.

It takes over.

There is a natural rhythm and pacing with your breath.

Allow it to be completely relaxed and natural as you feel yourself becoming more and more relaxed,

Comfortable,

Alert.

Embrace the clear presence that you are opening up to right now.

Breathing in,

Feeling what it feels like to be breathing in and breathing out.

Really noticing the sensations of breathing out.

Embrace the clear presence that you are opening up to right now.

So much is happening around us that is effortless.

Nature.

The sounds you hear.

The planet spinning.

Your beating heart.

The taste in your mouth.

The digestion in your intestines.

It's all effortlessly happening.

Why shouldn't you be able to experience yourself gracefully?

Take a few breaths and allow them to be smooth and fluid.

Feel into how the breath is a constant cycle,

Keeping you alive and able to be conscious.

So much is happening around us that is effortless.

Nature.

The sounds you hear.

The taste in your mouth.

The digestion in your intestines.

It's all effortlessly happening.

Why shouldn't you be able to experience yourself gracefully?

Take a few breaths and allow them to be smooth and fluid.

Pause for a bit at the top of the breath,

Just slightly holding it there,

And then whoosh out.

Again,

Pausing for a bit at the bottom of the breath,

Just slightly holding it there before you gently begin to inhale once more.

When joy bubbles within us,

Life seems to move with more grace and ease.

When the mind and body are given a chance to give up the struggle and just breathe calmly,

Smoothly,

Easily.

The feedback loop of positivity and receptivity is enhanced.

Can you sense the effortless nature of this existence?

Breathing in with a quality of simple presence.

Breathing out with a sense of ease.

There is a witnessing within you.

Observe this.

Focus your attention on your awareness.

You don't have to do anything.

You just sit and open up.

The further you open up,

The less separate you become to everything.

Breathing in,

Know that you're breathing in.

Breathing out,

Know that you're breathing out.

Be aware of the beginnings and endings of each breath.

Simply hear,

Awake,

At home,

In presence.

Allowing your breath to flow through all of the body,

From skin to bone,

Expanding upon inhalation,

And collapsing on exhalation.

Learn your senses outwards towards the world and create a sense of peace within yourself,

Cultivating clear and open awareness as you continue to breathe.

Breathing,

Opening to the ease in which life already is moving around you.

You breathe in and accept everything happening.

Breathe out and release all that you don't need.

Truest to your desires should be yourself.

Please do not rely on someone else to make it happen.

You are the ruler of your world.

You are in charge of the way that you experience and receive life.

There is no need to control the breath.

Just sense that you are receiving the breath,

Much like you would listen to sound with a relaxed awareness.

This life breath is your home base,

The place you can rest and just be aware at any time.

In these next few moments,

Simply relax and remain alert with the flow of the in and out breath.

Relax any areas of tightness or tension,

Breathing softly,

Calmly and naturally.

The whole universe is happening effortlessly.

Our solar system is moving,

Rotating,

Effortlessly.

Our planet is keeping us alive and healing itself effortlessly.

Your body is tending to itself,

Breathing,

Healing,

Recreating itself moment to moment,

Effortlessly.

The only thing that gets in the way of living life effortlessly is your mind,

The way that you choose to deal,

Think and feel about life.

Go deeper into the absolute effortless nature of this moment.

Allow it to embrace you.

Allow this effortlessness,

This gracefulness to just take over this moment,

Softening you.

Cradling you.

Inducing a deep sense of relaxation.

Breathing in.

Breathing out.

Rising and falling.

Expanding.

Contracting.

In bringing this meditation to a close,

Come back to a full awareness of the body.

Recognizing that awareness contains everything we are.

Finally take a long,

Slow,

Deep breath in and then let it out.

Take your own time in slowly opening the eyes once more and see if you can take this quality of awareness,

This essence of gracefulness with you into your day and into your life.

May your presence be your blessing to yourself and to all.
