Thank you for pressing play on this meditation.
This is a place where you can let go,
Gently,
Safely,
And completely in your own way and on your own time.
You're not being asked to forget what happened,
You're not being told to get over it,
Or to move on before you're ready,
You're simply allowing a place and the time to give yourself freedom to choose what you carry forward and what you can lovingly release.
Begin by bringing your hands to your most comfortable havening position,
Whether that's your arms,
Your palms,
Your face,
Wherever feels most comforting,
Let it be slow,
Soft,
And intentional.
This moment is just for you.
This healing is yours to claim.
So now when you're ready,
Take a deep nourishing breath in through your nose and out through your mouth with a gentle sigh.
Breathing in through your nose,
Drawing in safety,
Drawing in your own power to choose Let it go out through your mouth,
Releasing the need to hold everything so tightly.
Feel your body here in this moment.
Feel your weight completely supported by whatever is beneath you.
You don't have to hold yourself up.
You don't have to be strong right now.
Notice your havening touch,
The warmth,
The rhythm,
The gentle movement.
This is you caring for yourself.
This is self-compassion in action.
You don't have to carry it all right now.
You don't have to solve anything or fix anything.
You can simply be here,
Breathing,
Showing yourself kindness.
As you continue the soothing touch,
Repeat these words with me or simply allow them to settle into your system.
I am safe to feel whatever comes up.
I am allowed to release what no longer serves me.
It's okay to begin letting go even if it feels scary.
I choose to feel safe,
Peaceful and calm in this moment.
Feel your nervous system begin to soften.
Begin to trust that it's safe to open up,
To let the tightness go.
Continue your gentle havening touch as we create a space for whatever you've been carrying.
Let yourself quietly name in your heart,
Your mind or even out aloud what's been weighing on you.
Maybe it's a person who hurt you,
A relationship that ended badly,
Words that were left unsaid.
Maybe it's a version of yourself you're ready to release.
Old patterns that no longer fit,
Expectations that were never truly yours to carry.
Maybe it's grief,
Disappointment,
The ache of things that didn't turn out the way that you hoped.
You don't need to explain it to anyone.
You don't need to justify why it's been hard to let go.
Just notice what's there with gentle awareness.
Now imagine that you're holding onto this emotional weight in your hands.
You can see it,
Feel it.
Maybe it's heavy like a stone or tangled like an old rope or sharp like broken glass.
Look at it with compassion.
This thing you've been carrying,
It's taught you something.
It's protected you in some way and it's part of your story.
Let your havening touch be a way of saying to this burden,
I see you.
I understand why you came into my life.
You've done your job and you can rest now.
Imagine yourself gently and lovingly placing this weight into the hands of something greater than yourself or whatever feels most supportive to you,
Placing it into the river and letting it flow down the stream.
You're not throwing it away in anger.
You're releasing it with gratitude for what it taught you and because of the love that you carry for yourself.
Watch it as it leaves and is lifted from your hands.
Feel the space that's been created.
Feel your shoulders drop.
Feel your chest expand.
It's not erased from your story but it's no longer yours to carry.
As you continue the havening touch,
Let these words guide you gently into a space of self-awareness,
Self-forgiveness and gratitude.
Repeating out aloud or just allowing these words to be carried with you.
I am choosing to release what was never mine to carry.
I am forgiving myself for holding on so tightly for so long.
I am releasing this with love even though part of it still hurts.
I am learning that my healing doesn't depend on anyone else's apology or understanding.
I am discovering that letting go is not betrayal,
It's freedom.
I am ready to let go,
Honoring my own timing and process.
I am creating space and growth in my life.
I am choosing to trust.
Allow and feel each word not just as a thought but as a gentle unwinding in your body.
Notice where you feel more space.
Notice how your breath becomes easier.
Continue the havening touch and with each stroke imagining that you're smoothing away any residue of old pain.
Creating room for fresh air,
For new possibilities,
For the person you are becoming.
This release is not a one-time event,
It's a practice.
Be patient with yourself and trust your own timing.
Begin now to slow your havening touch.
Letting your hands gradually come to stillness and placing them wherever feels most comfortable for you.
You have just done something incredibly brave and powerful.
Even if it felt quiet.
Even if it felt small.
You chose freedom over familiar pain.
You chose your own healing.
This work ripples out in ways you may never know.
Every time you release what doesn't serve you,
You create permission for others to do the same.
Every time you choose healing,
You heal something in the collective human story.
You are not the same person who began this meditation.
Something has shifted.
Something has been released.
Something new has space to emerge now.
Breathe into this new spaciousness.
Allow yourself to feel proud of the courage you took to let go.
As you move forward from this moment,
Remember you don't have to carry everything.
You can choose what stays and what goes.
You are powerful enough to release what no longer serves you for your highest good.
Trust yourself.
Trust the process.
Trust in something greater than you.
The trust that's letting go is not losing something.
It's making room for everything that's trying to find you.
You did something beautiful for yourself today.
Something necessary.
Something that honors both your past and your future.
And you get to take this freedom with you now.
So when you're ready,
You can begin to bring your awareness back to your body.
Maybe take a nice deep breath.
Wiggle your fingers and toes and just notice how you feel.
If you're heading into sleep,
You can drift off gently,
Carrying this calm with you.
If you are continuing your day,
Move forward with ease and self-compassion.
Knowing that you can return to this peaceful state anytime.
Take your time.
And thank you for showing up.
