Rest here a little longer,
Dear one.
Eyes closed.
Notice every part of your being fully relaxed.
Sense deep down into the support beneath you,
Feeling warm and safe.
Quietly inside your mind,
Say,
I am waking up gently and full of ease three times.
Now trace your awareness to the breath,
Welcoming in the next breath a little deeper.
And when you're ready,
Let it go with a sigh.
Do this two more times,
Breathing in nourishing lungs with air and awareness.
Breathing out little sigh,
Breath expanding all around you.
Allow your breath to return back to its natural pace and rhythm.
Each breath expanding your awareness,
Increasing your ease and wakefulness.
Sensing lungs as they fill,
Feeling every pore of the body expanding and condensing.
Watch and listen to your breath flowing in and out,
Gentle ease.
Each breath filling the space inside you and all around you with a light,
Warm,
Loving energy.
Feel yourself brightening and awakening with every breath.
Like some beans of air,
Feel yourself warm and full of grace.
Allow a touch of sunbeam to fill the crown of your head,
Crown of the head warm,
Basking in a glow of warm sunlight.
Warm light filling the top of your head.
And now the forehead,
Bright glow of the sun.
Allow the sunbeam of light to move to the right eye,
Left eye,
Tip of the nose,
Chin,
Center of the throat.
Feel the warm sun radiating your Vishuddha Chakra with love,
Center of your communication,
Being warmed with loving light.
Now welcome the sunbeam to fill the center of your heart,
Lighting up the whole chest and down the arms.
Rays of light filling and expanding throughout your whole upper body.
Feel yourself radiating with this loving light,
Filling you with grace and vibrancy of the sun.
Sense and feel the sunbeam move to the solar plexus and now down to the belly,
Filling legs,
Knees,
Ankles and feet in the warm sunlight.
Feel your whole body absorbed in warm light,
Basking in the sunny warm glow of the rising sun.
And now let the mind wander like a breeze,
Watching thoughts,
Abstractions and distractions like gentle winds of no concern,
Illusions and conclusions blowing in and out.
Imagine you resting here,
Warm,
Awakening like the sun full of grace and ease.
Be present with all the parts of you that are awakening,
Currents of breath,
Winds of body and mind,
Rays of warm awareness throughout your whole being.
Feel yourself awake.
Now feel the breath at the tip of the nose.
Feel all the spaces inside you opening and ready to greet this day,
Layers of breath and movement,
Awakening into a peaceful presence.
Feel yourself awake and aware,
Gentle ease.
Now peek the eyes open just a little,
Allow a very small amount of light in,
Eyelids still heavy and mostly closed,
Only a tiny bit of light shining through.
See with this light.
And now allow the eyes to close again,
Soft.
Notice what remains.
Begin to wiggle fingers and toes,
Weakening through the whole body,
Head rolling side to side.
Feel yourself awakening,
Ready for your day.
Reach your arms overhead and extend your legs long and straight.
Give yourself a full body stretch from fingertips to toe tips.
And when you're ready,
Let the stretch go full of ease.
And again,
A full body stretch,
Reaching fingertips and toes again.
And then when you're ready,
Letting it go.
That's what remains.
And then welcome the stretch one more time.
Full body stretch,
Breathing in,
Reaching the whole body long.
And when you breathe out,
Let the whole body go soft,
Returning back to its awakening state.
Roll over onto your side.
Take a few more breaths here.
