Hello and welcome.

I'm Liz Tobin.

This meditation is for you to let your body and mind just slow down,

Allowing it to rest and inviting ease.

Begin by finding a space that is comfortable,

Free of distraction,

With your back supported,

Maybe even lying down.

When you're ready,

Close your eyes or rest your gaze downward and just invite ease into this moment.

Take a deep breath in through your nose,

Holding for four counts.

Then release slowly and quietly.

Again,

In through the nose,

Holding for four,

Three,

Two,

And exhaling slowly and quietly.

And again,

Inhale,

Consciously follow your breath,

Slowly in,

Quietly out.

Acknowledge its ability to anchor you in this moment.

Slowly and quietly,

Bringing ease to this moment.

Now I invite you to imagine you're lying on soft golden sand.

The sand is warm,

Supportive.

It acts as a cushion around your physical being.

Imagine the weight of your body being cradled by the sand.

Notice how your body is positioned on its surface.

How the curves of your body start to fall gently outwards.

With your eyes still closed,

Just imagine them moving along the contours of your body,

Around the curves of your shoulders,

Down your arms.

Imagine the sand moving between your fingers.

Imagine the sand moving between your fingers.

Think about how it might feel,

The softness.

Think about how the sand might support your buttocks,

Hold the weight of your legs,

How your heels may fall into it.

And just move slowly in this moment.

Consider how the sand feels smooth against your skin.

Is your head resting on the sand?

Is your head resting on the sand?

Is it anchored to the earth?

Become aware of the weight of your head.

And allow this weight to just slowly dissolve,

Releasing all your tensions.

Imagine them sliding away,

Disappearing between the micro granules of the sand.

Let everything that does not serve you in this moment fall towards the sand.

Let it be swallowed up by the earth,

So it no longer belongs to you.

So you no longer carry its weight.

Just allow the stress to slip away.

Allow the sharp edges of your physical being blur against the background of the golden sand.

Give yourself permission to hand over your stresses to Mother Nature,

To allow her to take on the role of carrying it for you.

Allow yourself to move deeper into a restful state.

A gentler state of being.

Allow yourself to be engulfed by a sense of ease.

Allow this ease to just wash over you.

Allow this ease to just wash over you.

Let it marinate across your being.

Just slowly and quietly hold this moment.

Perhaps turning your attention back to your breath.

In through your nose.

Expanding your belly.

Exhaling.

On each exhale,

Releasing more stress and finding greater ease and greater rest in this moment.

You might choose to just lie here on the golden sands in the warmth of the sun for a few moments as deep rest washes over you and nurtures you.

Just reminding yourself that you are deserving of this nurturing and this care.

Just slowly,

Quietly,

Bring ease to this moment.

Whenever you're ready,

You may choose to open your eyes and return to your day.

Doing this slowly and go gently.
