You know,
Getting motivated kind of never really works,
Because we can never force ourselves to do things we don't genuinely want to do,
Not for long anyway.
So while I know there are so many shoulds in your head and so much on your to-do list that you need to get done,
I want to invite you to just take a few minutes now,
And instead of forcing yourself to do something when you're feeling obligated or low in energy,
Instead maybe just take a few deep breaths,
Giving yourself this time to tune in,
And as you breathe deep,
Just drop into the center of your body,
And try these two empowering questions on for size instead.
Here's the first question.
What would I genuinely love?
Even if you can't fulfill this need right now,
Can it be okay to let yourself just know what you would genuinely love today?
What would I genuinely love?
Breathe in,
And just drop back into your center.
And here is the second question.
What do I genuinely have energy to do?
As you tune into that,
Can you allow whatever it is to be enough for today,
Trusting that as you have genuine energy,
You will complete all of the tasks on your to-do list.
What do I genuinely have energy to do?
Wonderful.
And as you receive your answers,
Just go ahead and give yourself a few deep breaths.
Give thanks to that deep and wise part of you that has all of your answers and is guiding you even now.
And when you are ready,
Gently and slowly move your body around,
Coming fully back into the room,
Bringing with you the wonderful guidance that you receive today,
And ready to move on with your day.
