Ah,
Here we find ourselves arriving for a session,
Taking some time to settle in,
Allowing yourself to get comfortable in your seat,
Maybe rolling those shoulders,
Flexing or curving the spine,
Just beginning to come into this place and this space,
Allowing the body to begin to get heavy,
Give over to gravity as you find yourself in a comfortable position where you can practice for the next few minutes.
Invite you to begin to connect to your breath,
Inhaling fully through the nose,
Letting the belly move out,
Pausing at the end of that inhale,
And then letting go with an audible sigh,
Letting that sound come out the mouth as the belly falls,
And pausing at the end of the exhale,
Continue that for a few more breaths,
Inhaling through the nose,
Pausing,
Exhaling out the mouth,
And pausing twice more.
And now just notice if you can give over to gravity anymore,
Letting go of any physical tension,
Emotional tension,
Mental tension,
As you bring your awareness to the center of your chest,
You can place two fingers or your hand there,
Focusing your awareness right in the center of the chest.
And even as you continue the rise and fall of the belly as you're breathing,
Imagining that you were breathing in and out from this place on the chest,
Allowing the air to enter the body,
Allowing the air to fully exit the body.
And I invite the idea that the breath that you're breathing in is the vibration of inspiration,
The vibration of creativity.
Maybe you call it beauty.
Maybe it feels like curiosity.
What can you connect to around the vibration of inspiration?
What can you allow yourself to take into your body?
Maybe you can see this vibration as a color,
That as you breathe it in,
Bringing it in through the heart,
That it rises up into the head,
Moving into all of the spaces,
All of the cells inside the brain.
Maybe it then fills up the throat,
The heart space,
The rib cage,
The belly,
The womb space,
The rest of the pelvis,
Your arms and legs,
Until you are completely lit up through inspiration.
There's so much about life that can be inspiring,
Inviting us to stay curious and open to exploring,
Allowing each day to be full of adventures.
To stay in our inspiration,
We must be in the present moment,
Not replaying the past or trying to control or create the future before it has arrived.
So I wonder as you breathe full of this inspiration,
If you might be able to call a little bit more of your consciousness into this present moment,
Maybe imagining letting go of the baggage of the past,
Drawing your hands that are reaching into the future back,
Close to the body.
Can you trust yourself to begin living from this present moment?
As you feel your body lit through inspiration,
You're feeling a part of the truth of who you are,
A creative and inspired being.
One of the harder aspects we might encounter is learning to live for our own dreams and our own desires,
Valuing the time we put into doing more than just caring for our body,
But allowing ourselves to care for our whole self,
Allowing our self permission to express the dynamic facets of our nuanced and particular person.
Each of us has come with specific codes of individuality.
Another way of saying this is that each of us have a dream,
A mission,
A purpose,
A talent,
A potential.
Living our most full and satisfying life comes from connecting our potential and beginning to create all parts of our life.
Often these creations may turn into things like artwork or beautiful crafts or amazing words.
You're allowed to express yourself in whatever ways feel interesting and pleasing to you.
In our modern lives,
It can maybe seem frivolous or pointless to engage in the acts of creating beauty.
But from our heart's perspective,
This is exactly who we are.
We are beautiful creatures of light who were made to create and recognize and be inspired by beauty.
So in our last full breaths,
Can you invite yourself to expand even more into the inspiration,
Maybe allowing it to fill the whole bubble around your body,
Feeling yourself floating and resting inside this vibration of inspiration?
Can you imagine your inspiration landing upon trust as you invite yourself to engage and connect?
Can you trust that any resistance you meet is the placeholder for your desire and that you get to go inside that resistance and recover the part of yourself you've locked away by simply opening and surrendering back into inspiration and choosing to listen to the call of your heart?
Taking one more deep inhale,
Feeling that belly deep long sigh of an exhale as you let it go.
Thank you so much for opening your courageous heart to the truth of your inspiration.
