Hello,
My dear friend.
Welcome to this meditation,
The beauty of darkness.
You have given birth before,
But this one is different,
Sacred and special.
Not only is your baby being born,
But you are being reborn into a new life.
So at this time,
Get in a comfortable position.
Rest your beautiful body.
Take some deep healing breaths.
Then settle in and allow your body to relax.
Breathe naturally as I walk you through this visualization.
As you prepare for this birth,
I want to take you to a beautiful place that's just for you.
It's a moonlit night.
You're outdoors in an enclosed natural pool.
Imagine yourself in this wonderfully warm bath.
This bath has no tub,
No walls.
You can't see the edge because you are surrounded by tropical plants and trees.
Through the darkness,
You can see the deepest greens in the foliage around you,
Huge leaves making a canopy over you.
There's the occasional tropical bloom,
Hot pink flowers and a few glowing lilies,
White like the moon.
There are stars overhead.
You are alone in this enclosed paradise surrounded by natural beauty.
Like a baby,
You're naked.
You have complete privacy and feel totally safe.
You're happy and content.
The warm water is your clothing.
Your pregnant body is held such that you can float.
You're free to swim around or simply relax and be held by the water.
Here in this space is just you.
You feel free,
Free to enjoy sacred rest,
Rest you so very much deserve,
Rest from all feelings that you're not enough.
You are whole.
You are radiant.
These beautiful surroundings remind you of your birthright.
You are a daughter of divinity.
Our first Mother Eve may have swam in a pool like this in Eden.
She chose to leave her idyllic world and partake of the fruit of mortality.
She opened herself to hardship in order to grow into the queen she would become.
You don't need to leave your pool just yet though.
You can enjoy the sweet stillness,
The sparkling stars,
The soft sounds of water.
Here in this exquisite place,
You are reminded that darkness is not always bad.
In some ways,
It's distinctly feminine.
When it does come time to give birth,
You may wish to retreat to a dimly lit room.
Even if this cannot be a physical reality,
You can imagine yourself retreating.
It is winter after all.
You will find a warm private space where you can retreat into yourself and bring forth new life.
During labor,
Surges come like waves.
Rather than being a rocky cliff where waves crash,
You can be a porous sandy beach where the waves roll over,
Sink,
And retreat,
Relaxing your brow,
Your jaw,
Releasing tension in your whole body,
Allowing the power of the surges to bring your baby down and out.
After the darkness comes the dawn.
Just as we descend into a dark valley when giving birth,
You have descended into a dark valley of separation,
Change,
And healing.
Our Lord is described as a deliverer.
He is carrying you.
He will bring you forth as a newborn woman.
On this dark night under the stars safe in this womb-like pool,
You can see how great our God is.
You can feel the goodness and the goddess within you,
Smiling at the growth that is happening.
Here in the mother's womb,
You can rest,
Your soul singing praises to the Savior and our heavenly parents' great plan.
Rest,
Dear one.
Rest in the beauty of the darkness and feel whole.
From the light in me to the light in you.
Namaste.
