This guided meditation starts with a connection to the heart center through breath awareness and visualization. Meditators visualize a gentle white light of protection which flows through the body bringing a sense of safety, warmth, and protection. This allows for a deep sense of peace and restfulness.

This is a guided meditation for self-healing and protection.

So take a moment to find your seat for meditation,

Adjusting your body in a way that is comfortable,

Relaxed,

But also alert and awake.

You can lie down or sit tall with a straight spine.

Take a few breaths just to ground yourself into your body,

Into your space.

Allow your eyes to close or to find a soft downward focus.

And maybe your breath will deepen just a little bit.

Feel your breath as it moves into your body.

And feel your exhale as the breath moves out.

Not a lot of strain or effort here.

Just breathing in a way that feels comfortable for you.

Each inhale brings nourishment,

Prana or life force to every cell in your body.

And on your exhale,

Can there be a little bit of a release of some tension?

Bring your hands to your belly and just let your hands gently rest on your belly.

You may feel a sense of warmth from your hands and your body.

Let your belly be soft and relaxed.

And bring your attention to this energetic center,

Which is your solar plexus.

Can you breathe down into your belly?

And as you breathe out,

Let there be even more softness and relaxation.

Bring your hands up to your heart space now.

Gently pressing your hands into that space where your heart is.

Tuning into any physical sensations.

Maybe you can feel the beating of your heart.

Breathing a little deeper here into the emotional layer of your heart.

And just noticing what's there for you in this moment.

Breathing and just coming back to the feeling of your breath.

Meeting whatever is there with a sense of kindness and compassion.

Maybe from here you can get a little deeper under that emotional layer of your heart space where there is some stillness.

Here there's a sense of rest and peace.

Breathe into that still space that is around your heart.

From here bringing your right hand just over your right eye gently and your left hand over your left eye.

Allowing your fingertips to rest on your hairline.

Bringing a sense of warmth to your eyes,

Your forehead,

Your face.

Allowing the muscles of your jaw and your cheeks to relax.

You might even slide your hands down your face a little so that you're holding your cheeks within the palms of your hands.

Allowing yourself that same sense of compassion and care.

Bringing your hands to the crown of your head now just for a moment.

Allowing the warmth of your hands right on the top of your head.

Breathing into this space.

Rest your hands back down in any way that's comfortable for you.

Do you feel that warmth still right at the top of your head?

Imagine that there is a warm white light that's shining right here over the top of your head.

This white light travels down over your head to your shoulders.

Over your chest and your belly.

The white light moves over your arms,

Your hands,

Down towards your pelvis,

Over your legs and your feet.

It creates a safe,

Warm cocoon.

There is no constriction here.

It is just a warm,

Like a warm blanket over your body.

You are surrounded by white light.

This is a space where no harm can come to you and you can heal yourself from within.

This white light is above you and all around you.

You are able to rest deeply here within the soft,

Warm,

Gentle embrace of this light.

You are safe,

Relaxed and at ease.

Rest deeply in your space.

Don't worry if your mind wants to wander.

Trust that for right now you don't have any place else to be.

You are just here,

Surrounded in warmth.

Breathing deeply.

Gently bringing your attention back.

The feeling of your in-breath and the feeling of your out-breath.

Prepare of your physical body and your points of contact with the earth.

Take a moment to thank your body for being present in your practice and for tuning into your own personal power.

You are healthy.

You are balanced.

You are whole.

You can return to this protected space when you need to.

Breathe in a little deeper through your nose.

Open your mouth,

Sigh that breath out through your mouth.

Take another slow breath in through your nose and sigh that breath out through your mouth.

Allow your eyes to blink open.

Bringing yourself out of your meditation and ready to go through the rest of your day.
