You As this is a contemplation meditation,
It is your choice whether you want to keep your eyes open or closed.
But there will be moments when I will tell you to open your eyes and close your eyes.
Just for understanding.
The instructions that are given.
During the meditation.
Just follow them simply.
So right now we all start with closing the eyes,
Relaxing the body.
In the chair.
Complete attention to the breath.
The breath is the only thing that is there in the present moment.
Natural breath,
Not manipulated breath.
Not rhythmized breath.
Natural breath.
Observe it moving in.
Observe it moving out.
Relax,
Relax every thought and just be with the breath.
Calm the body down.
Those who have done the Buddha retreat can relax the meninges and smile.
Those who have not done the Buddha retreat and don't know this instruction,
Just relax and smile.
Go back to the time when you were just a three-month-old baby.
When you are the baby.
You do not see another baby in front of you.
That is called imagination.
We are not imagining here.
We go back in memory to the time.
Earliest that we can remember.
In the crib,
Lying in the crib,
Lying in the cradle.
The small baby.
You,
This little baby.
Has no conditioning.
No words have been taught to the baby.
The baby sees reality as it is.
Now open your eyes.
And see reality as the baby would see it.
Remember,
You have not learnt names of any objects.
You have not learnt to call the computer,
Computer.
You have not learnt to call any object by a label.
You don't call your mom by the label mom.
Make an attempt to understand the meaning of what a baby is seeing.
There are no objects that it identifies.
It sees.
A magical screen of colors and shapes that has suddenly appeared.
When it opened its eyes.
Now close your eyes.
The magical screen disappears.
There is no color with eyes closed.
There are no shapes.
But still there is the sense of I am.
The baby still does not know the word,
I.
Does not know the word am.
It is just a sense of being.
B-e-i-n-g.
It is just a sense of being.
Open the eyes again.
The magical screen appears.
The baby does not see separate objects.
If it is a baby lying in the crib,
All it sees is a toy hanging down.
He does not know it is a toy.
It just.

C's color and shape.
Color and shape.
It does not recognize the name of the color.
It does not recognize the name of that shape.
For the baby,
There is no need outside and inside.
There is one continuous screen.
With different different colors.
In different different shapes.
Now this baby hears sounds.
There is no conditioning.
Of loud sound,
Mellow sound,
Jazz music.
Mother's sound.
The bark of a dog,
Not at all.
He has no labels.
That is just sound.
Similarly,
When the baby tastes something,
There is just There are no labels to the taste.
Similarly,
When the baby reaches its hand out to the toy and touches the toy.
There is just sensation.
The baby does not even think that there is an external object.
He just experiences pure sensation.
If we smell something,
There is no label to the smell,
Good smell or bad smell,
Rose smell or garbage smell.
It is simply smell.
It's a single magical screen.
Comes on every morning and shuts down every night.
Comes on every morning,
Shuts down every night.
All that the baby is experiencing is pure sensations.
Pure perceptions.
No labels,
No conditioning.
We all have the same source.
Each one of us.
We all came from that same source of pure experiencing.
Now you can all open your eyes if your eyes are still closed.
This baby now grows up.
Then the baby is taught.
It's no more a baby.
It's a toddler,
Infant.
This is a house,
This is a tree,
That is a snowman.
That is an uncle out there.
He is taught words,
Labels.
He starts looking at kings and people.
As objects.
There is now the distinction of an outside and an inside.
This outside and inside is only conditioning.
Is only something that came out of learning.
From the world.
From mother,
Father,
Whoever was teaching you.
In pure experiencing,
There was a single screen that used to come on magically every morning and shut down every night.
Again it used to come up.
It used to light up with colors and shapes every morning,
Last for some time as long as the baby was awake.
The moment the baby slept,
The screen shut down.
One single screen.
No objects.
There were some colors and some shapes on the screen,
But the baby doesn't even call them colors and shapes.
DO IT!
You are in pure experiencing.
When you are in the state of pure experiencing,
The mind has not developed with labels,
With conditioning,
With name and form.
The mind is very close to the awareness.
And it keeps dipping into the awareness,
The witness,
The consciousness again and again.
Screen that you see right now is one single screen.
Does the screen change if The images go off the screen.
Now there are no images on the screen.
Now there are images on the screen.
Now,
There is no world out there.
Now there is a world out there.
Are you seeing?
What is the true meaning of Advaita,
Non-duality?
That the images on the screen are just conditioning.
The images on the screen is just a label that we put on what is.
The screen is equated as the Brahman.
And the images on the screen is equated with Jagat or the world.
That screen is something which is always there.
Irrespective of whether there are images on the screen.
Or when the images are off screen.
This is the deep sleep state.
Where the images are not there.
Does that mean the screen is not there?
No,
The screen is there,
So the awareness is there,
The consciousness is there,
But The images are absent,
The objects are absent,
The physical world is absent,
The mental world is absent.
When you come into the dreaming state,
From this deep sleep state.
Of foggy.

.
Mind develops and brings up the memory of the waking state.
Some images appear.
And then you finally come to the waking state where lots of more images appear.
So this world appears and disappears.
In brahman consciousness.
Every single day.
Every single day.
The world appears.
In Brahman consciousness and disappears in Brahman consciousness.
Every single day this is our experience.
This is what the Upanishads say that you will get the knowledge of this world from the knowledge of your own sleep and dreams.
