Welcome to the Inward Journey podcast.
I am Aileen Rose Miles and I'm so excited to share this meditation in particular.
Before we dive in I wanted to let you know that this meditation includes music from Salt Breaker and The Lasso.
I use the song Foggy Vision.
I will link their entire album in the description below.
It is beautiful ambient music that I am honored to use in my meditations.
I hope you enjoy.
Hi my friend,
This meditation is for when we forget that we are our own greatest source of love.
So often I find myself reaching for external validation or evidence outside of me to prove that I am loved or I wait for love when in reality we all have an abundant source of love within.
This meditation is a reminder that there is no love like your own.
If you'd like you can close your beautiful eyes and stop looking outward and start looking within.
Imagine a warm bucket of water pouring over your head as ease slowly washes over your forehead,
Your temples,
Your cheeks,
Your jaw.
Imagine the warm water washing over your neck,
Your shoulders,
Feeling the relaxation meet your arms,
Your fingertips,
Allowing your body to rest,
Letting your legs feel heavy,
Ease reaching your knees,
Your ankles all the way to your feet and toes.
Arriving in this moment,
Breathe in slow,
Exhale,
Allow your breath to grow and deepen.
Inhale,
Exhale.
Choosing to take conscious breaths allows us to move out of the thinking mind.
Breath by breath we move into the observing mind.
Inhale,
Exhale.
The thinking mind is like you with your nose stuck to a mirror,
Staring so closely at every detail of you,
Picking yourself apart,
Overanalyzing,
Feeling hyper critical.
The observing mind is you pulling yourself away from the mirror,
Zooming out,
Stepping back,
Taking a long loving look at yourself.
Breathe in,
Let it go.
My friend,
Have you forgotten that the source of self-love is and always has been the self?
There is no love like your own.
We feel discouraged and disappointed because quite often we reach outward.
No one knows how to love you exactly like you do.
Can you feel your inner critic step to the side?
And allow your inner friend,
The you that is filled with love and acceptance,
To come forward to meet your heart right here.
It's time for you to let your own love in.
It's time for you to receive your own love.
If being hard on yourself worked,
It would have worked by now.
Slowly,
Gently,
Become aware of where self-love lives in your body,
In your soul.
Now imagine your love as a light,
A warm,
Bright,
Maybe white light.
Imagine it filling up your entire body,
Every inch of you.
Imagine your love radiating outside of you now and swirling around you,
Feeling engulfed by your own love,
Immersed in your own love.
Let your love hold you,
Let your love support you,
Let your love love you.
How does it feel to be loved by you?
Breathe in slow,
Let it go.
Stay present here as you are wrapped in your own love.
Love allows us to become our own safe place.
Feel the safety of your own love.
If you'd like,
You can hold on to the visual of your love,
Of your light,
Swirling around you and within you.
Or let it go when you're ready.
Wrapping your arms around you if that feels okay and whispering to yourself,
I love you.
I love you.
I love you so much.
I love you just as you are.
Breathe in slow.
Exhale.
Really feel what happens to you when you are reconnected to your own love.
Noticing the shift in your heart.
Giving yourself one more squeeze if you are hugging yourself.
Allowing your hands to rest back into your lap or maybe on your heart.
Inhale slow,
Let it go.
May you continue to be your own source of love.
Stop outsourcing love.
There is so much within you.
There is no love like your own.
Take your sweet time breathing a little bit deeper.
Maybe moving into your body only you know what you need.
How do you love to come out of meditation?
And what do you need moving forward?
Continuing to listen to yourself today is a beautiful act of self-love.
Be gentle and kind to your mind.
Breathe in.
Breathe out.
From my heart to yours.
