Make yourself at ease.
Get heavy in your seats or on your bed.
Go deep.
At the same time,
Paradoxically recognize lightness.
As you breathe,
Your skin and muscles lift up.
You might feel elevated and extend through your head,
Neck,
And spine.
Start breathing deeply.
Breathing your breath qualitatively and quantitatively in through your nose all the way down.
Out through your mouth.
Deepen and elongate your breath.
Touch in with your senses.
Your skin.
Your sense of touch.
Do you smell or taste anything interesting?
Or just acknowledge neutral smells and tastes?
Even and here.
What do you perceive through your eyes,
Even if your eyelids are closed?
Continuing to breathe and settle.
Come to rest.
Understand yourself.
To be held by something larger,
Stronger,
And more enduring than you are.
You are wrapped and swaddled by something loving.
Feel the embrace.
Continuing to breathe and rest and settle.
This loving and deep presence in your life gathers you and places you gently,
Tenderly,
Kindly into a very safe cradle.
And on the cradle you are rocked gently by waves and ripples that soothe you.
And you drift.
You drift on the river of life.
Continuing and experiencing the gentle rocking,
Little waves lapping at your cradle to rock you to sleep.
Safe and so secure.
Breathing,
Settling,
Drifting,
And rocking.
Breathing,
Settling,
And rocking.
You continue in this place of ease across the rivers of your life.
And come to a gentle stop on the far bank.
And you are gathered up by a new love,
A new kindness.
With as much compassion as you were deposited into your cradle.
This great presence wraps you up in its love.
And draws you toward,
Into its embrace.
Feel and breathe.
And rest.
Continue to be loved and embraced.
Breathing in that kindness and attention.
Until you hear the closing bells.
