A meditation based on the 12-Step Serenity Prayer: "God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and wisdom to know the difference." You don't need to be in recovery to use this meditation, and it's quite good for sparking the creative Flow. (Photo by Pixabay)

Transcript

Settling in,

Relaxing and releasing,

Feeling the pull of gravity,

Beginning to breathe more deeply,

Experiencing quiet and stillness,

Accepting what can't be changed now,

Things as they are,

Impairments and limitations,

And the boundaries of our control.

Breathing in,

Fortifying oneself for what can be done,

Acts of creation,

Acts of motion,

Action of vigor,

Breathing in and out,

And seeking clarity about what can be controlled and what cannot.

Breathing in and out again.

Love this! I’ve been in sober in a 12 step program for 14 years (this month)! So this really resonated. Thank you!
