Imagine yourself on a vast open plane.
Testing on the soft ground.
Let the light fade as you continue to breathe deeply in,
Slowly out.
Next to you in this darkening plane is a glimmer.
As you reflect on the glimmer and resolve the image in your mind,
It is some shape of helix.
A corkscrew.
Spiral stair.
A helter-skelter.
However you might know it and whatever word you might use.
From the ground into the sky,
Up to the heavens.
Starting to breathe and stay slow and relaxed.
Next to you on this dark plane,
The glimmering glowing spiral from ground to sky.
Looking more closely,
You can see figures,
Messengers,
Ascending and descending.
Up the spiral,
Down the slide,
Going up and down.
What do they look like?
Can you bring them into focus?
And continuing to settle into your hips,
Your feet,
Your shoulders.
Drawing your breath in deeply.
Drawing your breath out slowly.
Draw your focus to yourself in this dark plane.
And think of a message you'd like to send up the staircase,
The spiral,
The helix.
Maybe you imagine yourself with a quill and ink writing it on parchment or recording it on a cassette or thumb drive.
Visualize crafting a message whose content only you know.
Once you've formulated your message and transcribed it in some fashion,
You can start to think in some fashion.
Give it over to the next available messenger going up.
And watch that glimmering messenger ascend up the spiral,
Up and up with your message.
Going to your calm place.
Quiet and safe and breathing.
Oh,
Look.
A messenger is coming down with a message for you.
When the messenger arrives,
Take the package,
The message,
The delivery from them with gratitude and thanks.
Maintaining a slow and steady breathing.
