Finding Our Truth Meditation
by Our Echo
Do you disallow speaking your truth in fear of rejection or loss? Do you say yes when you wish to say no? Do you breach your own personal boundaries in order to meet others' needs? When we do not embody our full truth it affects our own health, and the health of all social systems we partake in.

You will go ahead and get started with our meditation.
So I encourage you to really check in with yourself and what your body feels most comfortable with today.
If it's lying down,
Lie down.
If it is sitting up nice and tall,
Feel free to sit up nice and tall.
But check in with what your truth is.
So what is your truth?
What is your body desire,
Your heart,
Your mind?
How can you be the most present,
Most relaxed in your body and the most truthful to your own needs?
So as you lie down or you sit up nice and tall,
Let the eyes shut down so there's nothing to see here.
We don't need to see me or the screen.
Allow yourself to just come into a space of silence and solitude in your body.
Let the eyes floating on cool pools of water behind your eyelids.
Allow the jaw to relax.
Allow the forehead to relax.
Let the shoulders relax down the body.
A large part of speaking our truth that is so important is learning to do so empathetically and with compassion.
Our words have become sharp swords in this world.
Much division has been created over words.
And so there is a deep beauty to learning to speak your truth and being transparent,
But doing so with love and connection at the centerpiece and desire.
So how do we find our deepest truth and how do we express it with deep love and humility and gratitude and empathy with how it lands on the world?
We have the power to heal one another through words.
We also have the power to destroy one another through words and such immense power is held in the speaking of our truth.
So just checking in with yourself,
Just tuning in here in your own body,
Your closed eyes.
How do you show up in your truth?
How do you speak your truth and does it come from a place of love and connection or a space of righteousness?
Do you speak to teach or to show wrong or to blame?
Or do you speak truth to connect and go deeper and to share?
As we get into the prayer,
The invocation for today,
I invite you now just to take some moments of silence to really let this land with you.
How do you show up in your truth?
Let the body relax,
Let the breath be easy and calm.
Just come into your breath,
Deep inhalations and exhalations through the nostrils.
Just come into your calm.
This is an invocation for all of mankind.
Devotional prayer to place upon the altar that is the human experience.
A request that we be gifted the opportunity to become truthful and that we recognize in our own being that we are supported by the great unfolding and that we trust.
We trust that we can speak our truth,
Embody our truth,
Inspire more truth and that we become as transparent as the air that we breathe.
This is a prayer that we uncover our veneration and become the holy men and women that are essential in order to protect and lift this world,
This worldly experience up.
So sit silently and breathe deeply.
Air,
Life force,
Prana,
Moving in and out in the nostrils and hear the sound of the faint inner ocean.
Sit tall with pride,
Allow the heart to be open and also relax into the vessel that you embody.
And deeply care for yourself in these moments,
Care for yourself in all moments and notice the pulsations of life moving through you and for you.
You are embodied truth.
Rest easy here and breathe.
You feel the support of the earth beneath you.
The more cycles of the breath that you take in through the nostrils,
The deeper you feel grounded and supported here.
And know that you have a right to be here in your seat,
In your body,
That you have the right to speak your truth and be heard and be seen and acknowledged.
And keep praying deeply that you are supported.
And ask yourself,
Who are you truly?
What are you made of and from where have you come?
You woke here in a new land some time ago and you were given a language,
A country and a certain set of circumstances that created the lens that would become your worldview.
What is that lens?
What are you made of?
Who are you truly?
Where do you come from?
Your language,
Your country,
Your certain set of circumstances.
How do you see the world and how does the world see you?
And is this the worldview that you desire truly to live by?
And is this truly the way that you wish for the world to see you?
And if it is not,
How could it be so?
Breathe deeply there.
We cannot speak our truth until we know our truth.
We cannot live our truth until we are true.
So who are you truly at your core?
You may have been asking yourself these questions for some time,
But when you let go of the roles you wear like masks and you let go of your language and your country,
Who are you?
Each day we wake up with dreams and aspirations and also frustrations and irritations.
Our clinging to these roles and these constructs directs our words and reactions to come from a place of attachment to our worldview.
It directs our energy into different emotional states depending on how well we fit into these roles each day.
We speak words that allow others to define us by these roles as well.
And even at times if these words do not come from a deep internal truth,
We may keep jobs and friendships and relationships that are to the detriment of our own internal truth because we may have lost our way or never truly known our truest self.
And all of this is okay.
We can forgive ourselves for not knowing from where to begin.
So as you sit here notice what it feels like in the body to ask these questions.
Does tension arise?
Does the breath become shallow?
Is there a feeling of deep desire and need to step into truth?
Or is there a celebration that you are your truth?
And either is beautiful.
We're each stepping in onto the path from a different place,
Each with the same trajectory.
Some of us may be moving to the right or to the left,
But we all step forward.
So what would it look like if it were okay for you to be completely truthful?
What would the world look like if you felt safe to speak your truth?
What would it feel like in your body to speak your complete truth?
What would your relationships look like if you were safe to speak your truth?
What would work look like?
What would you keep pursuing if you fully embody your truth?
What would eating look like?
Where would you live?
Who would you hold?
What books would you read?
Who would you call?
Who would you apologize to?
And who would you move closer to?
What would love look like for you if it were a place of deep truthfulness and transparency,
And lovemaking,
And dancing,
And trying new things?
If you could let your fear of speaking the truth dissolve and find a way to communicate your truth with a deep empathy and compassion for those who are in the right place,
And find a way to communicate your truth with a deep empathy and compassion for those around you,
And they could hear you and accept your truth,
And meet your needs,
And respect your boundaries.
Will you begin to soften?
What does your body feel like to hear those words?
That you're safe to speak your truth,
That your truth is heard,
And seeing that your needs are met,
That your requests are important.
Can you soften?
Can you be here more fully than pleasant?
Would you begin to trust a bit more?
Would the world be an easier place for you to live in?
Would your pain subside?
What does it feel like to imagine this world,
This world of truth?
Where in your body is tension beginning to ease?
And from where is there still discomfort?
Breathe into that space now.
And where does your fear of speaking the truth live?
Take your exhalations there to soothe and trust.
Let go in this moment and allow.
Where if the world outside of you exists,
So can one right here,
Right now.
You are the maker of your experience and you can choose.
In one moment you can real it into your life.
Simply by choosing to speak your truth.
And at first there may be a deep resistance as old world views and structures dissolve.
But when we live in our truth fully and we speak it with love,
Empathy and desire for deeper connection,
The world around us becomes a much more accepting place.
A place of growth,
A place of trust,
Of mental and physical well-being.
So what will you choose?
And what will your life look like?
And who will you be?
Let go.
Relax.
You are home.
You are safe here.
Becoming as transparent as the air you breathe,
You are truth itself.
So what does your highest good,
Your highest truth want to express?
Breathe deeply here and rest my soul.
Get to know yourself,
Get to know your truth.
The journey back to truth or forward to truth is not an easy one.
And many things may fall away.
But I assure you it is worth it once you arrive back to your true abiding nature.
So settle here.
See yourself,
Know yourself.
What truth desires to be birthed from you?
And imagine how much easier life would be if you were allowed to be exactly as you are.
Truly at your core.
To the deep breath in,
Deep sigh out.
Deep breath in,
Deep sigh out.
And place one palm on top of the heart and the other on top of that palm.
With hands on the heart holding in here,
Feel the breath move in and out.
Pulsations of life here.
And just notice what your body feels like.
A large part of knowing our truth and speaking our truth is feeling it,
Feeling a full body,
Yes,
Or feeling a full body,
Your intuition,
Your wisdom is divine.
We know what our truth is deep,
Deep down,
Even if we sometimes wander away.
So notice what your body feels like.
The sensations,
Pulsations,
Quality of breath,
Contractions in the muscles.
And setting an intention here to speak your truth,
To begin speaking your truth,
To unfold where truthfulness has been absent.
My prayer for you is that you are courageous and brave enough to speak what is truly with you.
And I pray for you that you do so with compassion and empathy and that others can hear your words with love and connection in mind,
That we define each other back and forth each and every day,
Moment to moment,
That we are each safe to speak our truth that our needs are important,
That our boundaries are important,
That our feelings are in the palms together,
Head bowing down towards the heart.
Deep breath into that heart space and deep breath out.
And you say Namaste.
