Find a steady seat.
Sit with some enthusiasm for your life.
As you root down,
Feel your spine grow tall like the trunk of a tree with the crown of your head extending up towards the sky.
Begin to breathe with awareness at the tip of your nose.
Breathing in beautiful oxygen,
Nourishment,
Prana.
Begin breathing out carbon dioxide,
Any worries,
Anything that's blocking your energy.
Be with the miracle of your breath in this moment.
While we're breathing,
Anything is possible.
Breathe in thank you because you're grateful for your life.
Breathe out I love you,
Giving back.
Breathe in thank you,
Breathe out I love you.
Exhale with gratitude for Mother Earth.
With your exhale,
Feel that you're giving back to her.
Because Mother Earth uses carbon dioxide.
The trees,
The plants,
They use it.
They live on it.
So as we breathe,
We can begin to realize that we're actually thanking and giving and supporting Mother Earth and all the greenery around us through this process of breathing,
Of being.
Breathe in energy and breathe out energy.
This is an exchange,
This is a relationship that's mutually beneficial.
We take just enough to sustain our life and to be vibrant and we give everything else back.
In this way,
We are very much like a tree.
A tree takes just what it needs from the earth.
It draws from the roots up and gives out so much more.
As you inhale,
Visualize the roots from the sit bones growing deep down and you're breathing through those roots up your center channel of your spine to the crown of your head.
And as you exhale,
The energy expands from your body outward through all the pores in your skin.
And you're sending good vibes out to each other and to Mother Nature.
We want to be like the tree.
A tree takes what it needs but gives out so much more than what it takes.
It cleanses the air we breathe.
It gives us shade.
It gives us sweet fruits and beautiful fragrant flowers.
It creates a home for animals and wood for building houses,
For making fires to keep our bodies warm and to cook our food.
A tree takes very little and gives so much.
Breathe in understanding this process.
With your exhale,
Know that you're giving with your exhalation.
It may appear that you're a single person just as you look at a tree as a single tree.
But the trees are connected.
They speak to each other.
Sometimes their roots intertwine and they support each other in secret.
They communicate underground.
We do something similar.
We communicate with our energy field and with our intention.
Breathe in,
Thank you.
Breathe out,
I love you.
