Hi,

Welcome to Lasting Impact.

I'm Laura Hayes.

We're here together for a five-minute sleep meditation.

Set yourself up in a comfortable position.

If you're ready for bed,

Feel free to get cozy and lie down.

Close your eyes and start to settle in.

Take in a deep breath,

Filling your lungs and your belly.

And as you breathe out,

Feel your body start to release tension and relax.

If it helps,

Imagine yourself floating in a cloud.

Acknowledge any physical sensations around you,

Maybe a pillow supporting your head,

The coolness of your sheets,

Or the warmth of your blanket.

Whatever physical sensations you are experiencing,

Experience them.

Draw your attention to your breath,

Deepening your inhales and your exhales.

Again,

Noticing the rise and fall of your chest and belly,

With each breath in and out.

Allow yourself to feel settled and calm.

Now let go of anything that happened before this moment.

There is no sense ruminating on the past.

Just be here,

In this moment,

Settling in,

To sleep and recover.

There are no tasks or jobs for you to do right now.

Acknowledge any thoughts about the future that may come up.

But then,

Once you've acknowledged them,

Gently push them away.

If it helps,

You can visualize rolling up those thoughts or future tasks into a ball,

And kick the ball out into the universe.

You do not need to concern yourself with that right now.

Now is the time for you to let go.

Now is the time for you to breathe and release.

Now is the time for tranquility and peace.

Now is the time for sleep.

Continuing to soften the breath now,

Releasing any tension you may still be holding onto.

Know that you are safe and supported.

Feel free to drift off.

Thank you for sharing your time with me.

Until next time.
