Welcome to the Daily Insight.

My name is Dr.

Ozzie Jankovic.

Today's Insight,

Number 45,

Comes from my book,

Beyond All Things,

Insights to Awaken Joy,

Purpose,

And Spiritual Connection.

Insight 45,

Visualization.

In Hebrew,

The word for believe is ma'amin.

This word shares the same root with the word amen,

An affirmation spoken after a prayer or blessing.

It also shares the root with the word umman,

Which is an artist or craftsperson.

What is the connection?

Well,

Success in any area of life is the product of both inborn gifts and abilities,

As well as what we hone through deliberate practice.

This is apparent in the arts,

Omanut,

And it's also applicable to the ways in which we live our lives guided by belief.

A belief is a thought experienced as truth.

Our beliefs are the lenses through which we experience all of life,

And the filter through which we generate thoughts,

Feelings,

And actions.

The artist envisions a creation and physically manifests that vision into reality.

The believer envisions an ideal with crystal clarity,

And along each step of the way there,

The believer notices the ways in which all of life is manifesting itself toward that ideal.

There's a tremendous power of belief and imagination in their ability to affect critical outcomes in any area.

The practice of visualization is one of them,

And it increases the likelihood of a vision being brought into life or any goal being achieved.

An incredible story illustrates this idea.

During a nine-year solitary confinement,

Political prisoner Natan Sharansky envisioned himself playing chess.

He became so skilled at the game without ever actually physically playing that he emerged from prison and beat the world chess champion in 1996.

This is the power of visualization.

Now visualization affects brain processes which mimic those of identical physical actions.

Similar to the way which memory and dream can be experienced in the body as real events,

Future or imagined visualizations impact the mind and body in significant ways.

The power of visualization has been studied in order to better understand its possible health implications.

In one study,

A group of volunteers were asked to do a visual visualization of a group of men and women.

The volunteers were on cast for four weeks.

Half of the participants did mental visualization workouts of wrist flexing and the other half did not.

After four weeks,

The visualization group had 50% more wrist strength than the group that did nothing.

Similar studies in the field of medicine continue to accumulate evidence that visualization is a powerful tool for healing.

The power of visualization can be utilized in any area of your life.

Grow your insight number 45 and exercise.

Visualize yourself achieving a goal.

Picture exactly what this looks and feels like.

Now see yourself moving along the individual steps to your end goal.

Thank you so much for being here and listening to this insight today.

You can use the practice of visualization in any area of your life.

Now I strongly recommend that after you do this practice,

You take note of what you see in as much clarity and detail as possible.

Looking forward at all of the steps you're making toward that action,

Make a note of those two.

Be patient with yourself.

Revisit this exercise and remember what you visualize and what you focus on grows.

Thank you for being here.

I hope that you enjoyed.
