This short sequence of morning blessings begins the day with gratitude and acceptance. Based on the traditional morning blessings from the Judaic liturgy, it utilizes silence in place of naming the ineffable. It is intended as a universal practice to uplift, inspire, and connect.

Good morning.

These are traditional morning blessings to say to invoke gratitude and wonder and awe and appreciation for the gift that is our life.

I have intentionally left out the name of the eternal one,

The name of the infinite or the universe or God,

However you refer to our creator and sustainer in order to provide you a space to connect with that which is beyond all things,

That which cannot be encapsulated in words.

You'll notice a silence.

Let's begin.

All am I before you,

Living ruler,

Sustaining us who has returned our souls in grace.

Great is your faith.

Blessed are you who has created man with wisdom.

Blessed are you who heals all flesh and is wondrous in all acts.

The soul that you have placed within me is pure.

You created it.

You fashioned it.

You breathed it into me.

You safeguard it within me.

And eventually you will take it away from me.

You will restore it to me in the time to come.

All the time that the soul is within me,

I give thanks to you,

Master of all works,

Lord of all souls.

Blessed are you who restores souls.

Blessed are you who gives the heart understanding to distinguish between day and night.

Blessed are you who did not make me a slave.

Blessed are you who gives sight to the blind.

Blessed are you who clothes the naked.

Blessed are you who releases the bound.

Blessed are you who straightens the bed.

Blessed are you who spreads the earth out upon the waters.

Blessed are you who has given me everything that I need.

Blessed are you who establishes the footsteps of humanity.

Blessed are you who gives us strength.

Blessed are you who has given us splendor.

Blessed are you who gives strength to the weary.

Azi! Thank you for this. What a beautiful way to view the morning brachot - your rendering made me think of these in a whole new way. I need a deep breaths reminder, personally, but I’m so glad I found this.
