One Step Forward

Transcript

Let us begin by shifting into a comfortable position,

Taking a moment to sense your breath as you inhale slowly and deeply,

Feeling the air move into your body,

Beginning to relax into this moment.

As your lungs fill with air,

Allow the breath to move deeply down into your belly,

Noticing the way that your body softens with each inhale,

Neck and shoulders relaxing,

Back relaxing,

Simply noticing the sensation of letting go and easing into this moment.

Closing the eyes and imagining a body of light glowing in front of your vision,

Illuminating your focus,

Noticing the body of light gazing inside,

It takes on its own movements and you simply let go,

Allowing the light to glow as it does so naturally.

Any thoughts that come into your mind,

You can simply notice and move your attention back toward your breath.

As you breathe in,

Notice the sensations of the air filling your body in and out slowly,

Deeply and intentionally.

Imagine a pathway stretching out before you,

Made entirely of stones.

Notice what they look like and begin to follow them as they stretch forward into a beautiful horizon.

As you begin to take steps along the path,

Your body begins to feel light,

Free and swept forward by the inspiration and energy.

Continuing forward,

You notice the shape of a figure emerging from the horizon.

Moving closer,

You recognize that this figure is you.

After time has passed,

One year ahead,

One year wiser,

Having completed another cycle around the Sun,

This figure smiles broadly back at you,

Feeling a tremendous satisfaction of having made a contribution,

Knowing that the work of her hands,

Divinely inspired,

Has touched lives,

Inspired,

Served a purpose and created a lasting impact upon this world.

She radiates the inner peace of feeling this purpose and you take a short pause to notice how this purpose has affected her stance,

Her expression,

Her glow,

Assuredness.

Gazing down at the stepping stone beneath your feet,

You begin to drift upward,

Floating,

Being pulled by a gentle and stabilizing force into thin air.

Gazing down from above onto the pathway,

Each one of the stone steps that lined your way.

You are gazing down at one year that has passed,

Spread out before you.

What was there to support you along your journey?

The comforts of home,

Reassurances of loved ones,

Strength of your inner voice,

Receiving inspiration and encouraging you forward.

Notice the people,

The places,

The experiences that have supported you along the way.

What was it that you needed to arrive at your destination after the year's journey?

Hovering in space,

Gazing down at the clear path laid out before you,

Envision each step,

Each person,

Each place,

Each thing,

Each experience that guided and supported you in the journey.

Feel the gentle sensation of hands on your back,

Easing you through each one of the steps.

Backward,

Slowly,

Until you arrive at the first step,

Gently awakening into this moment,

The here and the now.

What was your vision?

What had that figure accomplished,

Created?

What did this figure feel?

What is it that you need to know or need help with in order to move forward along your path,

One step at a time?

Continue to breathe,

Focusing your attention on the inward breath,

Filling your lungs with air,

Breathing out any doubts,

Any apprehension,

And breathing in the strength of your vision,

Knowing that everything around you is uniquely designed to support you along the way.

What were the visions?

What were the details?

You may want to take a few moments to write about your experience,

To share what it is that you saw,

And remember,

Every journey begins with one step,

Blessing you with continued inspiration,

Clarity,

And strength as you venture forward one step at a time.
