Find a place where you can go undisturbed and rest back in a way that is most comfortable for you,
Either sitting or lying down,
Knowing that this time is just for you to relax,
Reset,
And let go of anything weighing you down.
Today you can find your inner confidence and stand tall again.
That's right.
Now as you sit or lie back,
You can begin to notice the support beneath you,
Noticing how that support asks nothing from you.
It's just there,
Gently and comfortably supporting you.
It's okay to allow yourself to sink deep down into the support,
Knowing it's safe for you to do so,
Relaxing more and more as you do.
Even deeper down now,
Sinking so deeply down into that support that you become joined,
Become one with the support,
So much so that you forget the difference between you and the support.
Now so deeply supported that you know the support is you,
Sinking deeper down,
Even more,
Deeper still.
That's right.
You can notice your whole body relaxing more and more,
Even deeper,
Feeling so comfortable just where you are right now,
Feeling from the top of your head all the way down to your toes,
Deeply and profoundly relaxed,
Allowing your comfort to deepen even more.
That's right.
And you can notice how the more you relax,
The deeper you go into total relaxation,
Completely relaxed.
Noticing now how your breathing has become more relaxed,
Slowing down,
Calm,
Slow,
And relaxed,
Allowing the breath to find its ideal pace as it takes you deeper down,
Even more,
Deeper still,
All the way down.
With every calm,
Comfortable breath,
You relax even more,
Deeper still,
Even more.
That's right.
Now doubling your relaxation with each breath that you take.
The more you relax,
The deeper you go,
And you go deeper the more you relax,
Feeling so comfort,
Able to go deeper now.
That's right.
Doubling your relaxation even more,
Deeper,
Even deeper now.
And you can notice your heartbeat slowing down,
Calm and peaceful,
Slow and steady,
Relaxing you even more,
Deeper still,
Each heartbeat creating total and profound relaxation right now.
That's right.
Even more,
Allowing the heartbeat to find its ideal pace as it takes you deeper down,
Totally relaxed in mind and body,
Deeper still.
That's right.
Continuing to allow that relaxation to spread all the way down your entire body,
Even deeper,
Deeper down,

All the way down,
Completely and totally relaxed right now,
Noticing how easily and effortlessly you relax.
Now,
As you notice the top of your head,
You can relax your entire scalp,
Allowing all those tiny little muscles from the top of your head all the way down to the base of your skull to go limp and loose,
Completely relaxed.
Notice how easily you do this as you begin to notice how your forehead relaxes and goes smooth like a baby's bottom,
Becoming more and more relaxed,
Feeling now all those tiny little muscles around your eyes completely relax right now.
That's right.
You can let that relaxation spread through your whole face.
All those muscles around your mouth go completely limp and loose,
Easily and effortlessly.
Notice now how all the muscles in the jaw completely and totally relax as your jaw goes slack.
Even your tongue relaxes as you become more and more relaxed,
Allowing that relaxation to go down all the way down to your neck and shoulders,
All those muscles relaxing,
Taking you deeper and deeper down into total relaxation,
Deeper still.
Now,
That profound relaxation travels down more and more into your chest,
Spreading across and all the way down your chest,
Down your upper back,
Down your upper arms,
Relaxing all those muscles even more,
Taking you deeper and deeper down as you continue to allow that calming,
Gentle,
Peaceful relaxation to go down into your forearms and hands,
Feeling now your arms and hands go completely limp,
Heavy and relaxed,
Going even deeper now,
Noticing how that heavy relaxation travels down into your lower back,
Completely relaxing every muscle in your back,
As that relaxation spreads around to your diaphragm and stomach,
Moving down deeper and deeper into your stomach,
Into your large and small intestines,
Bringing profound relaxation right now.
That's right,
Everything easily relaxing more and more,
Bringing balance,
Health and ease to mind,
Body and spirit.
And you get the sense,
The knowing that everything's working just as it should.
This knowing takes you even deeper into total relaxation.
Now,
Doubling your relaxation every time you hear the word relaxed,
Knowing that you're 100% safe to totally and completely relax.
That's right,
Allowing easily now for that relaxation to go down into your hips,
Your bottom,
Relaxing you even more,
Feeling now heavy and completely relaxed.
And the more you relax,
The deeper you go,
And you go even deeper all the way down,
Allowing that deep,
Gentle and peaceful relaxation all the way down into your thighs,
Allowing all those big muscles in your thighs to go limp and loose very easily.
It's even easier to allow yourself to completely relax now,
Going even deeper down,
Feeling so relaxed as that comfort goes down even more into your calves as those muscles melt with total relaxation.
And the more you relax,
The better you feel,
The more you feel the relaxation.
The more you relax,
The better you feel because you're here listening to me and relaxing more and more.
That means you have 100% control of your life.
Knowing this brings you profound confidence,
Safety and clarity.
This allows you to go even deeper now,
Allowing that relaxation to go down more,
Deeper still into your ankles,
Your feet and your toes,
Relaxing all those muscles easily and effortlessly,
Feeling completely relaxed now.
That's right,
Heavy and relaxed,
Feeling calm,
Safe,
Confident and completely relaxed.
That's right.
I would like you to imagine,
See yourself in a woodland scene,
Walking through the woods.
Perhaps there are twigs snapping underfoot,
The sound of birds singing in the trees,
The sound of a gentle breeze ruffling the trees,
And that smell of damp earth that pervades any woodland with a stream passing through.
Perhaps hearing that stream in the distance.
Find a tree that draws you to it,
A strong oak or a slender silver birch.
Perhaps go over to that tree,
Looking at it.
See the bark,
The textures,
The roots spreading across the ground and deep down into the soil.
The colors of the woodland around you,
Shades of browns and greens and perhaps mosses and ferns,
Fungi may be around the base of the tree.
Sit down now with your back to the trunk of the tree.
Look up into the canopy of leaves,
Seeing the light dapple through the leaves as they shimmer in the breeze,
Fluttering,
Rustling.
And as you watch,
One leaf detaches itself and starts to flutter down towards the ground.
Watch that leaf as it twists and turns in the light breeze,
As it moves down and down,
Taking you down and down into restful sleep.
As you watch the leaf moving down and down when you lie in your bed at night,
Your subconscious mind will know that this is the signal.
When you are lying comfortable in your bed at night,
That this is the sign to go to sleep.
The signal that the subconscious mind is waiting for to let it know that it is time to take over and allow the conscious mind to drift away somewhere else,
Somewhere where it can rest off to another place.
Now,
Your subconscious mind will know this now,
Know it's triggered to take over and allow you deep,
Refreshing sleep.
Just as you breathe in and out,
In,
Night moves into day,
Into day,
And day into night,
In that natural rhythm as you sleep at night.
And wake in the day as the sun rises,
You awake.
As the moon rises,
You sleep,
Following the natural rhythm of sleep.
Just as you follow the patterns of your breath,
In and out,
In and out,
That gentle,
Soothing rhythm.
As you watch that leaf detach itself,
Twist and turn in the breeze,
Dancing in the air as it moves gently down,
Taking you into a deep and refreshing sleep.
Seeing this now,
When you go to bed at night,
Seeing the woodland and your journey into sleep,
A safe place,
A relaxing place where no one can trouble you,
Expect anything of you,
Just allowing yourself to rest,
Allowing your subconscious mind to be there,
Take over,
Giving your conscious mind time off,
Sleep.
That's right.
And you can be curious which night will be the first night you sleep through the whole night.
And I wonder how you will achieve that.
Many people have found that the sleep problems they had were due to worrying too much during the day and going over things in their mind when they should have been falling asleep.
And they found many ideas worked for them.
And I'm curious,
Which ideas will work for you?
One person decided that if they weren't asleep,
Within 20 minutes of going to bed,
They would get up and tidy their home.
And within a week,
The home was tidy.
And they were sleeping through the night.
Another person decided to listen to meditation or hypnosis tracks as they were falling asleep to have something to follow that stopped their mind wandering.
And I worry,
And I don't know what will work for you.
And I wonder whether you will sleep through the night tonight,
Or whether you will sleep through the night tomorrow night,
Or whether the first night you sleep through the night will be in a week's time or two weeks time or a month's time or sometime sooner.
Many people discover the improved night's sleep develops as any daytime problems or issues become resolved.
And you can resolve any issues or problems in your own way.
And when your sleep improves,
I wonder how life will be different and a part of you can take some time now to get a sense for what that life is going to be like.
Who will notice that your sleep has improved?
What will they notice?
How will it make you feel different?
What other life changes will occur?
And how will the change be maintained?
And a part of you can drift off into the future,
Looking back and reviewing how you achieved sleeping better each night.
And looking at those times when you had the odd brief blip,
And how you overcame those few old blips.
And when your head relaxes on the pillow,
I wonder how quickly you will fall asleep.
And some people find they fall asleep as their head hits the pillow.
Others find they fall asleep just after their head hits the pillow.
And some people find they fall asleep after they have taken a few breaths.
And I wonder what will work for you.
And you can now take as long as you need to reprogram your neurology,
Lie quiet down in the background for a moment.
That's right.
And now,
As you gradually drift off to sleep,
You can take all the time you need to ensure all the work is completed fully and honestly.
And only drift out of trance and into a comfortable deep sleep at the rate and speed that all the reprogramming updates.
And as your neurology updates,
You can find your way back fully out of trance and into that relaxing sleep.
And when you drift into a dream,
All necessary changes will have happened on an instinctive level.
And you can awaken at the appropriate time,
Feeling refreshed and revitalized.
That's right.
