There are days where I wonder if I’ve gone too far down the path to turn around or alter my course. Yet there are other days where I feel more capable than I’ve ever been. I’m learning to welcome both. To see them as different shades of growth.

The Weight of Staying There are some days when I want to quit.

Not because I don't care,

But because I care so much.

Snot crying in my car while singing us sad songs just to encourage an emotional release so I can free myself of the baggage of thinking I don't have what it takes to stay on the path or find the path forward.

But I do.

We do.

I share these thoughts and feelings with you not for sympathy,

But for solidarity.

Because if you're moving through something that matters to you,

A business,

A relationship,

A creative pursuit,

You've probably felt something similar.

The weight of staying.

Of what it takes to stay.

There are days when we're going to wonder if we've gone too far down the path to turn around,

And other days when we feel more capable than ever before.

I still marvel at how these two truths can coexist,

But hang in there my sweet friend.

May we learn to welcome them both.

To see them as different shades of our growth.
