A Gentle Reframe Lately I've been practicing trying less hard,
Staying intentional but not desperate,
Allowing what works to stay,
What doesn't to go,
And remaining open to whatever unfolds.
I endeavor to weave a thread of compassion through all my uncertainty and overwhelm as I learn the art of softening expectations and celebrating the little wins along the way.
I know full well how detrimental comparison can be,
And that oftentimes we find ourselves not measuring up to the ones we admire or aspire to.
However,
The insecurity we feel is not the whole story about who we are and how we're doing.
What if we could hold inspiration without it becoming a measuring stick,
And that at the same time we took a very important moment to reflect on our history and realize how far we've come and how much we've accomplished?
We might still be messy,
But there's been growth,
There's been healing,
There's been success.
This gentle but focused reframe on self-perception could be the beginnings of rehabilitating our thinking patterns,
And a reminder that you're doing a good job.
It's not easy,
But you're doing a good job.
