Hi,
This is Natalie and I'm happy to be leading your meditation today.
The topic today is connection.
Connection to ourselves,
Our wants,
Our needs,
Our motivation,
Our default thinking,
And also connection to our higher selves,
To each other,
To the planet,
And the substance that we call universe,
All that is God,
Creator,
Creation,
Etc.
So when you're ready,
Find your posture and get as comfortable as you can while straightening your spine and elongating your neck as if a crown was placed on your head,
Taking your chin just enough to find neutrality,
And take a few seconds to find that spot.
When you arrive at your posture,
Find your breath and place your attention on it,
Making your exhales longer than your inhales,
And find yourself connecting to the life force that is your breath.
I'll give you a few moments to make and experience this connection.
On your next inhale,
Scan your body and when you exhale,
See your breath carry out all the things that no longer serve you.
Inhale deeply and exhale completely,
Seeing your breath carry out all things that no longer serve you.
There's no need to look for or name what is exiting,
Just connect to the free release that your exhale affords you,
And continue to inhale deeply and exhale completely,
And let's take a few moments to connect to that sense of release and letting go.
On your next inhale,
Let your focus and attention drop to the areas of your body that support you in this moment.
Allow your exhales to help your body drop into this spot and make the connection between your body and the cushion,
The chair,
The bed,
Or the floor,
And let that connection be complete,
Intimate,
Even sacred.
Exhale deeply and continue to use your exhales to feel the pull of the earth and linger in the sensation of belonging on this earth and to this moment,
And give yourself completely to that connection.
On your next inhale,
Bring your attention to your heart center,
And at the bottom of your next long exhale,
Connect to your heart,
Maybe your heartbeat,
Or maybe a sense of expansiveness,
Or maybe pure gratitude.
Go with what arises.
Continue to breathe and connect to your heart,
Yes,
Your most effective brain,
And let's stay here just for a bit to enjoy this connection.
On your next inhale,
Bring your attention to the crown on your head and connect to your higher self,
The universe,
The all that is,
The higher power that you trust.
Exhale and exhale of securing that connection,
And feel light and love cover your head and your whole body.
Open yourself up to the sensation of love and light and let it permeate through your cells.
On your next inhale,
Bring your attention back to your crown and allow your inhales to gain access and come in to your body through your crown.
Let's take a few moments to be in this connection.
Breathe in deeply,
Breathe out completely,
And linger at the bottom of your breath,
Finding peace and calm right there.
And repeat that cycle of breathing in deeply,
Breathing out completely,
And taking a second or two to be at the bottom of your breath.
And go ahead and do that one more time on your own.
When you're ready,
Bring your hands to your chest in the pose of prayer and bow your head to express your gratitude to yourself for the gift of these few minutes and to signify the end of the meditation.
Take another deep breath and a complete exhale and open your eyes when you're ready.
Thank you for meditating with me.
This is Natalie.
May you always find the time and the desire to connect to yourself,
Your higher power,
The people you love,
And your.

.
Remember your breath is the road and the heart is the destination.
Have a great day.
