Hi and welcome.
I'm really glad that you're here.
My name is Diane and this is Day 1 of the 7 Days to Come Back to Yourself series.
So whether you're feeling anxious,
Overwhelmed,
Or just not like yourself,
Or like you don't even know who you are anymore,
You're in the right place.
Congratulate yourself for taking these few moments to just slow down.
Today we're going to be connecting with our body in a way that feels safe.
So I invite you to just take a slow breath in with me now.
And let it go very gently,
Easily,
And slowly.
You're just arriving here.
And let's do that again.
Another just really slow,
Mindful breath of presence,
Breath of centering.
Inhaling fully.
And whether you're laying down or seated on your exhale,
Just have the intention to let your shoulders drop easily even just a millimeter.
Kind of releasing some of that stuck energy between the ears and the shoulders.
And let your jaw soften by gently separating your teeth,
Letting your tongue rest in your lower palate.
You're right here.
You don't have to feel completely calm or even sure of what the next instruction is going to be.
But just know that you are supported,
That you are being held.
And notice that support underneath you that is holding you.
And take another mindful breath in,
Placing one hand on the center of your chest and the other hand on your solar plexus just between,
The space just between your belly button and your ribcage.
And I call this home base.
Feeling into,
As you're breathing,
Feeling into your palms.
Feeling your body gently rising as you inhale.
And releasing as you exhale.
And noticing the connection point of your body to what's supporting it,
Whether it's a chair or a bed,
The floor.
And you're right here.
You're just breathing.
Your body is your vessel.
Your body is your home.
And so taking a moment,
Even if you're not feeling great about your body in this moment,
Your body has carried you to this moment in time.
However that's looked like.
And your body's your friend.
And so I invite you to just offer your body gratitude for getting you to this moment today.
And know that every moment,
Every breath,
Is an opportunity for new beginnings,
For change,
For growth,
And for connecting back to yourself.
So know that when you do these slowing down practices,
Whether you're with me or someone else or by yourself,
It's okay if your mind wanders.
That's normal.
That's what the mind does.
But just gently notice when that's happening,
Arriving back to your breath and back to home base.
Again,
By feeling into the warmth or the gentle pressure of the palms of your hands on your heart space and your solar plexus.
These are your sacred wisdom centers,
Your center of intuition,
Your inner GPS.
And it's also known as the seat of the soul.
And your soul is who you really are.
That is your essence.
That is your truth.
We're going to be exploring and going deeper into that connection so that you can really feel more like yourself again.
So just beginning to notice the space around you now and taking a really deep full breath in.
Exhale as we come back,
Arriving back,
Knowing that you can return to this sense of safety,
Home base,
Anytime.
And I'm so glad that you joined me today.
I will see you in Day 2.
Take good care.
