Guided meditation for releasing stress,
The silver lake.
Let's begin by getting into a comfortable position,
Either sitting or lying down.
Close your eyes and breathe deeply.
With each in-breath,
Fill up the lower belly,
Then the chest,
And then the head.
With each out-breath,
Just relax and let it go naturally.
Let's breathe like this for one minute.
Now relax your body and let it sink deeper.
As you relax,
Notice the flow of energy in your body.
You may feel your hands growing warm and tingly.
Now I'd like you to imagine that you're going deep into the earth.
Go deeper and deeper until you come to a cave.
It's a large cavern with a lake in the center.
The lake is made of shimmering silver light.
It is so beautiful and inviting that you decide to take a swim.
You take off your clothes and wade out into the lake.
The water is just the right temperature.
Breathe deeply as you relax into the water.
Now you are floating in the shimmering light.
You feel peaceful and calm as the silver light washes away all your worries.
It washes away any stress or negative feelings that have been weighing you down.
Breathe deeply and allow those feelings to dissolve into the silver lake.
As you float in the shimmering light,
Allow yourself to soak up the energy of lightheartedness and joy.
Now you feel happy and free as you splash and swim in the lake.
Take a few minutes to enjoy your swim.
You you you you Now it's time to come out of the lake.
You put on your clothes,
And you feel yourself rising up through the earth to the room where you are resting.
Breathe deeply and feel your body.
When you are ready,
Slowly open your eyes.
Stretch and come back to the present moment.
