Namaste and a very warm welcome to all of you in this daily live meditation session with me,
Dhyansai.
We are meditating on 112 meditation techniques of the Gyan Bhairav Tantra.
If you were to choose between intelligence and wisdom,
If someone says,
I will give you more of either intelligence or wisdom,
What will you choose?
Think about it,
Meditate over it,
Give it a serious thought.
What will you choose?
Intelligence or wisdom?
What will help is to also see in your life.
Take a reference from anyone that you know in your life,
Be it in your family,
Be it in your surroundings or someone in the outside world as well that you look up to.
The most intelligent person that you know and the most wisest person that you know.
In your knowledge,
In your experience,
In your own personal judgment,
The most intelligent person and the most wise person.
And see their life,
See whether what they are experiencing is what you also want in life.
You will see more or less the same story across different people.
That the most intelligent people might be the most successful people,
Might have all the wealth,
Might have all what the material world,
All whatever this world has to offer,
They have them,
But chances are they are not happy.
There is no inner peace,
There is lack of love,
There is lack of silence.
And if you look on the most wisest person that you know,
It might be that the person is completely unknown,
It might be that the person is not yet successful,
It might be that the person would never be successful,
It might mean that the person is not intelligent,
But there is wisdom,
Therefore there is inner peace.
The person is happy,
The person is in silence,
The person is in love.
So see for yourself,
Judge for yourself,
What do you want?
More intelligence?
Or more wisdom in your life as you proceed in your life,
As you proceed in your spiritual journey as well.
There is a way to have both,
Where you don't have to make choice between intelligence and wisdom.
But it is important to understand where you put your bets,
What do you want more?
The intelligence or the wisdom?
For that you have to understand what is intelligence,
You have to understand what is wisdom.
And this understanding,
This knowledge is not in the books,
It is in your meditation,
It is only when you meditate over what this means for your life,
In your first hand experience,
In your first hand taste,
What wisdom means to your life,
What does it actually really mean and refer to,
Not the definitions,
Because you may be able to capture intelligence in some sort of definitions,
But wisdom would be very difficult to capture in words,
In definitions.
So understand what is intelligence,
What is wisdom.
As we meditate,
As we sit in this silence together,
Give yourself this chance to contemplate,
To meditate along with me what is intelligence,
What is wisdom.
See that intelligence is what divides.
It is dividing everything that you see,
It is dividing everything that is open to your perception,
That is open to your life.
It is dividing and then linking everything.
Wisdom is uniting,
It does not divide in the first place.
When you act out of wisdom,
You are not dividing.
When you act out of intelligence,
You break down everything,
You break it down into smaller parts.
See that the more intelligent we have become,
The more problems we have faced in our life.
The most intelligent people in the world,
If you see,
They see life as a problem.
And you can see this in our language,
How this language has changed.
50 years ago we were never talking in terms of problems,
And today everything is a problem.
We are solving problems after problems after problems.
Be it business problems,
Be it medical problems,
Be it existential problems,
Be it spiritual problems.
The whole mind who is oriented and filled with intelligence is only seeing everything as a problem.
It is breaking down the entire space and time in problems and is busy in trying to solve these problems.
Intelligence likes to keep itself busy in first of all dividing into problems and then trying to solve the problem,
Getting the achievement,
The reward of solving that problem and moving on to another problem.
Therefore the whole world looks like a problem.
If you see the leadership of this world,
They have made the entire world as a set of problems and they talk in problems and solutions.
They don't talk outside the problem.
They don't talk in wisdom because in wisdom there is no problem.
You are not in the problem trying to solve the problem.
You are outside the problem where there is no problem.
So see what you want in life,
A problem and a solution or you want to be out of both the problem and the solution.
Intelligence offers you that reward of solving a problem.
Wisdom does not offer you that reward.
Wisdom just takes you out of the problem.
See that intelligence is serving something.
Intelligence is serving yourself,
Is serving your ego,
It is serving something.
Intelligence is built,
Is made to serve something.
Wisdom does not serve anything.
Wisdom has no service to anything,
To anybody.
Wisdom at the most you can say is an alignment to existence.
If you act with wisdom,
It lets you align with the existence.
It does not serve your ego.
It does not serve your objectives,
Your goals,
Etc.
That your intelligence has created in the first place.
It simply aligns you to existence and there is inner peace,
There is harmony,
There is love,
There is compassion.
All the things that you actually really want in life are all rooted in this wisdom.
So intelligence is all objective.
Wisdom is all this subjective.
These things that I am saying are not just a theory,
Are not just a concept.
You yourself should contemplate what is intelligence in your life,
What is wisdom in your life,
And what do you want more in life?
Intelligence or wisdom?
And as I said,
There is a way to have both.
On the path of meditation,
In these vibrations of tantra,
All the meditation that we do here,
All the contemplation that we do here,
All the techniques that we do here,
They work on both.
They work on your mind where your intelligence is based.
They work on the no-mind where your wisdom is based.
They work both on your thought,
They work also on your no-thought,
On your awareness.
For the mind to become more focused,
For the mind to become more clear,
For the mind to attain to that one-pointedness is also one thing which you can have from meditation,
Which will increase your intelligence.
But on the other hand,
The wisdom,
Which has nothing to do with the mind,
It is a space of no-mind,
It is an expansion of your awareness,
Expansion of your consciousness.
This space,
This energy,
This expansion,
This liberation of energy and expansion of consciousness is what also is offered in these tantra sessions,
In these sessions of meditation.
On that contemplative note,
Let us listen to the technique which Bhairava has presented to us for today and then we will practice that.
We will sit in silence and in meditation.
Bhairava in Vigyan Bhairavatantra says,
Having filled the body up to Agnya chakra with prana energy and by one-pointedness at the bridge between the eyebrows,
The mind rises above all dichotomy,
Thought patterns,
And one becomes all pervading in the highest state.
So here,
This technique is a combination of what we had learned in the past sessions.
So,
Let us begin with the technique which Bhairava has presented to us.
In the early sessions on tantra,
We had learned the breathing techniques.
Then in the last few sessions,
In the past sessions,
We had learned chakra meditation techniques.
And what we are doing today as a technique,
It is a combination of both breath and chakra meditation.
If you have followed in the previous sessions,
It will be very easy for you to put this combination together for yourself.
If you have not,
If you haven't followed,
It is still okay.
I will give you a very brief introduction to what to do in this session and follow the guidance along with the meditation.
This technique will become easy for you as well.
The first part of the technique,
Having filled the body up to Agnya chakra with prana energy.
This is where you bring your awareness to the flow of the breath.
And you come in contact,
In touch with the prana energy.
Beyond just the physical of the breath,
The energy of the breath,
You come in contact with that.
You fill your entire body up to the Agnya chakra,
Up to your third eye center.
You fill your entire body with prana energy,
Which simply means that you breathe so deeply,
You breathe so naturally,
You breathe so fully.
That your entire body is at rest,
Is one with prana energy,
The energy of the breath.
Then the second part of the technique,
Which says,
And by one pointedness at the bridge between the eyebrows,
This is where you will focus your attention,
Your awareness at the third eye center.
This is the region in the physical body in between your eyebrows.
This energy center is very,
Very powerful.
This attracts your awareness.
If you bring your awareness to this energy center,
The one pointedness automatically happens in your awareness.
The more you bring awareness,
The more it pulls your awareness.
And you will find a time,
A space,
When all your energies,
All your awareness is one pointed at this one energy center,
The Agnya chakra,
The third eye center.
With that,
When that happens,
Your mind becomes faultless.
Your mind completely focuses,
Your intelligence starts to grow from that point on,
When you attain to this one pointedness.
When this one pointedness and the body filled with prana energy happens together,
What is left is the open space of consciousness,
Open space of awareness,
And a sense of all-pervading,
A sense of this all-pervading in the highest state,
A sense of oneness with all arises.
Suddenly,
Your mind,
Your awareness is both one pointed and focused at your third eye center,
But your consciousness is all over the place.
It is in expansion without any limitations.
So it is a wonderful technique for both intelligence and wisdom in life.
Try this in the session,
Practice this after the session,
Whenever you get a chance.
With that,
Let us take this into our experience.
Let us internalize what we have learned as a technique.
Please close your eyes.
Take a sitting posture that is comfortable for you with your head,
Your neck,
Your spine aligned,
Erect and relaxed.
Shoulders down,
Face relaxed.
Take a nice deep breath,
Inhale from the nose and exhale from the nose,
Allowing your body to rest,
To find its balance in the posture.
Your mind in here,
Your awareness in your inner space.
For the next minutes,
Observe your breath.
Become aware of the flow of your breath as it flows in to your nose,
Down to your lungs,
All the way down and back.
Observe this flow of the breath.
Let us take a deep breath.
Without trying to change anything about your breath,
Keeping the flow natural,
Simply observe silently the flow of the breath.
The flow of your breath.
As you observe your breath,
Your body fills with the energy of the breath,
The prana energy.
The breath coming in,
Taking a pause,
Flowing out.
And along with that,
Energy flowing in and flowing out.
Keeping breath flow natural,
Without restraining your breath.
And simply observing this flow of the breath,
Flow of the energy.
Let us take a deep breath.
Awareness settling in your inner space.
Observing this flow of your breath.
Observing this flow of energy.
Let us take a deep breath.
As you settle,
In silence,
In this awareness of inner space,
Shift your attention at the region between your eyebrows,
At your third eye center,
Agnya chakra.
Keeping your eyes closed,
Roll slightly upwards,
Towards the third eye center.
In between your eyebrows.
Without stressing yourself,
Very slight rolling of the eyes to your third eye center,
Keeping your attention at your third eye center.
If it is easier for you,
You may roll your eyes back to the normal position of your eyes.
You may roll your eyes back to the normal level,
While still keeping your attention at the third eye center.
Feeling the vibrations,
The pulsations of energy,
The sensations in between your eyebrows.
Allow all your attention,
All your awareness to flow towards the center.
The third eye center.
All your energy converging,
Becoming one pointed.
You may see light,
You may see images.
Let go of all that,
Simply remain one pointed with your awareness in the region between your eyebrows.
Let go of all that,
Simply remain one pointed with your awareness in the region between your eyebrows.
Notice,
Your breath is still.
As you become more and more one pointed.
Notice,
Your mind disappears as you are more and more one pointed.
Let go of all focus.
Your eyes relax.
No effort whatsoever.
Simply remain silent and aware.
You are concerned with your body,
Your breath,
Your mind and everything else.
Let go of all that,
Simply remain one pointed.
And very gently and slowly,
You may open your eyes.
Maintaining this silence,
Awareness,
A sense of focus,
A clarity in your mind,
A one pointedness in your energies.
Take this to your day in your daily life.
Thank you very much.
Namaste.
Namaste.
