#30. You Are The Creator | Vigyan Bhairav Tantra
Dhyanse responds to questions from his meditators on the meditation techniques related to fire of time. In essence, the message is that you are the creator, the maintainer and the destroyer of everything that happens in your life. Namaste and a very warm welcome to all of you in this daily live meditation session with me,
Dhyansa.
We're meditating on 112 meditation techniques of Vigyan Bhairav Tantra.
In the past two sessions,
We did a technique or a couple of techniques which were out of the league,
Which were out of the normal.
These two techniques were something like the first technique was where you imagine,
Where you visualize your body burning in the fire of time and not leaving anything about your body,
About yourself,
And let it all burn in the fire of time.
Then the technique that we did yesterday was that the entire cosmos,
The entire universe,
It burns in this fire of time.
These two visualizations are very,
Very powerful,
Very bizarre at the same time,
But very significant on the meditation journey.
There were a couple of questions that arose.
I'm sure there were many questions that came to your mind,
But in our community,
There were a couple of questions which I would like to share with you and how to look at those comments,
How to look at those thoughts that arise,
Those questions that arise while you practice these two techniques.
The first question,
At some point in the meditation,
I thought I am the fire.
And then I asked myself,
Is the fire destruction?
Am I destroying everything?
It was terrifying and I was scared of being that fire and being part of the end of form.
What's your understanding of fire?
Is it more of a cleansing tool or am I taking the concept of fire too literally?
This question is related to yesterday's,
Day before yesterday's meditation,
Where we imagined,
We visualized that everything,
The whole body,
Everything is on fire.
The whole cosmos is on fire.
Now the question arises,
I thought,
Am I the fire?
Yes,
You are the fire.
You are the water.
You are the earth.
You are the air.
You are the ether.
You are all these five elements.
You are all the creation as well.
So this meditation in the last two sessions,
What we discussed is to emphasize on the destruction,
But to once again remind you of this entire cycle of creation,
Maintenance and destruction.
You are the creator.
You are the maintainer.
You are the destructor.
You carry this creation,
Maintenance,
Destruction in you.
So to your question,
Am I the fire?
Yes,
You are the fire.
And if you can wake up to this elemental sense of who you are,
This is already progress.
This is already progress that in your visualization,
It becomes so strong that from you recognizing yourself as just the physical body,
You move to the elemental state where you recognize yourself as the fire.
So yes,
You are the fire.
Then I ask myself,
Is the fire destruction?
Now here the mind comes in.
You were in the process of meditation.
Everything was going fine.
The mind comes in.
Is this fire destruction?
Am I destroying everything?
Destruction is not supposed to be.
And this is exactly where this technique helps to emphasize,
To exaggerate on the destruction for you to come to this fact,
To this law of creation that whatever is created,
It destroys.
Whatever you create,
You must destroy.
At the same time,
This whole creation,
Maintenance,
Destruction is a cycle,
Is a circle that must be completed.
It completes on its own whether you want it or not.
But if you pay attention to it,
You are in such a relief because all throughout your life you're trying to create and maintain.
All your effort is not to let what you have created,
What you're maintaining to be destroyed.
And that creates a deep stress in you all the time.
You're holding onto things in life.
You're not letting them having their natural decay,
Their natural death,
Their natural destruction,
Annihilation once again of the manifestation into the unmanifested.
Am I destroying everything?
Yes.
You are creating everything and you are destroying everything.
See this as empowerment that you have this power,
Immense power to create,
To maintain,
To destroy.
You are this entire cycle,
The owner of this cycle.
You are this cycle,
This supreme consciousness which can create,
Which can maintain,
Which can destroy.
There is nobody else.
There is no other God.
You are that God which can create,
Which can maintain,
Which can destroy.
It was terrifying and I was scared of being that fire and being part of the end of form.
This simply shows that you want to hold onto things and yes,
There is this natural fear that arises.
If I am fire,
If I can destroy,
I shouldn't be doing that.
How can I have that empowerment and so on.
So all these thoughts that arise as fear in you in the process of doing,
Repeating this technique you let go of these fears slowly.
Let go of this grip,
Your hand over whatever you are holding onto,
Whatever you are trying to desperately maintain in your life.
You will see whatever is meant to be,
It will be and whatever is not meant to be,
It will find its natural once again inhalation into the unmanifested.
So it is important not just for you but for all of us to recognize that everything goes through these three phases of creation,
Maintenance and inhalation back into the unmanifested,
Back into the formless.
Every form without exception goes back into the formless and you don't come in the way of that process because you are that process.
What is your understanding of fire?
Is it more of a cleansing tool?
You can take this as a cleansing tool,
You can take this process as a cathartic process.
All the psychological deep suppressions,
Impressions that you are carrying in you,
Take this process as catharsis and let that burn in this fire.
That much significance for the technique,
For this particular technique,
For this particular process,
For you and everyone else who is meditating with this technique.
Or am I taking the concept of fire too literally?
All concepts are to be dropped.
They are to be taken seriously in order to understand,
In order to enter that space of the technique.
See that words are not enough.
What we are doing here,
The space of meditation that we are creating for ourselves,
That powerful energized space in which you enter,
You transform yourself bit by bit,
This space is something that is also a concept,
That is also something that has to be transcended so that all concepts drop what remains is this pure awareness,
This pure energy.
To enter that space,
A concept is needed,
A design is needed,
An architecture is needed.
This creation of this dynamic design which happens in this every session,
Don't take it literally,
Take it sincerely in the process of meditation,
In the technique of meditation.
Go through that transformation and let that concept go,
Let that concept once again disappear.
You leave the concept and you sit in silence,
Sit in awareness once it has taken you to the place where it should take you.
The second question.
I really enjoyed today's morning meditation but was amazed me in that at a certain point,
Moment my spirit,
Question mark,
Projected itself out of my body.
It stuck to the ceiling and watched my body burn down in small flames.
What surprised me even more was that,
Nor I,
In brackets,
My mind,
Nor my spirit,
Did feel any fear or joy or pain or relief.
We simply watched my body turn into ashes.
I wondered what would have become of my spirit if my body had really burned down and what about my mind?
How long would it have been hanging there on the ceiling of my room?
I hope my question is not too weird.
You dare to look at your own mind,
You dare to look at the projections of your own mind and this weirdness we all carry in us.
All these questions that come out of the mind are all weird but to face them,
To dare to ask,
To dare to confront,
This is a sign of growth and not of weirdness.
So on your spiritual journey,
Confront whatever arises in you,
Face that,
Be at terms with it,
Put it in its right place and move on.
So to your question,
What amazed me is that at a certain moment my spirit projected itself out of my body.
It stuck to the ceiling.
Now this question is not only significant for you but for everyone else who goes into this projection that they are somewhere out of their body.
This is a projection.
This is still your mind.
This is still you trying to escape the process.
When we did this technique,
The technique was to burn down the entire cosmos.
The technique was to burn down the entire body.
In this case,
What you did was to burn down your body but the moment you enter the technique,
You wanted to save yourself.
So you saved yourself as the spirit,
As the idea of the spirit.
You let the body burn but you thought of somehow escaping that,
Saving yourself out of that process and you managed to do that by projecting yourself as the spirit at the ceiling of your room and watching this from that point of view.
So to observe this burn,
To observe this fire,
To observe the entire mechanism is great.
That awareness is the ultimate what is left.
There is nothing else left in this burn,
In this imagination,
In this visualization of the fire burning your entire body and burning this entire cosmos.
Nothing is left except for awareness and silence.
So if you are in that awareness,
That is a good sign.
But in that awareness,
What you are carrying is these projections of the mind.
In that awareness,
You are seeing once again yourself,
You are preserving your mind,
You are preserving your spirit.
You have to let all these ideas also burn so that there is no one single point of reference but rather you are in that infinite awareness.
That reference does not remain as a point,
That reference does not remain as just a plane,
That reference does not remain just as a space,
That reference becomes a multi-dimensional existence reality for you.
There are other minor aspects on this question but if you take this in your consciousness,
Take this in your practice that while you are in meditation,
Don't leave anything behind,
Don't separate your mind,
Your body,
Your spirit.
And while you are in this awareness of the entire,
Of the whole,
Remain in that awareness,
Let go of all these divisions,
Let go of all these forms.
There is not enough time to go through today's technique,
To elaborate today's technique and sit in silence.
So what we will do is we will simply spend the next 15 minutes in meditation,
In awareness of the awareness,
In awareness of the formless.
We will let all these forms,
In whichever process,
In whichever way,
We let all these forms settle and bring our awareness to this ultimate awareness itself and remain in that silence,
In that awareness for a few minutes.
Let us close our eyes,
Take a posture that is comfortable for you,
Allowing your body to rest.
Keeping your head,
Neck and back straight,
Aligned.
Alert yet relaxed.
Taking a nice deep breath,
Inhale from the nose and exhale from the nose,
Allowing the body to relax.
Breath flowing naturally.
Letting your awareness turn inwards,
Towards your inner space.
Letting your awareness turn inwards.
Allowing the awareness to settle in your inner space,
Your body to become still,
Your mind to calm down.
Observing your inner space.
Be watching,
Observing,
Without trying to change anything.
Whatever arises and falls back in your consciousness,
Simply observe.
Letting your awareness turn inwards.
Not holding anything.
Not changing anything.
Letting your inner space.
Letting your awareness turn inwards.
As your awareness settles,
Become aware of this awareness.
Letting your awareness turn inwards.
Not thinking about it.
Simply observing this awareness.
Awareness of awareness.
Letting your awareness turn inwards.
Don't give it any form,
Any characteristics.
Simply remain aware of awareness.
Letting your awareness turn inwards.
Let go of all effort,
All visualization,
All focus.
Simply stay silent and aware.
Letting your awareness turn inwards.
Letting your awareness turn inwards.
Maintaining the silence and awareness.
Very gently and slowly,
You may open your eyes.
With the remembrance,
With the taste of your own awareness,
With the remembrance and a taste of this awareness that we all share.
On your spiritual journey,
It is natural to have questions arising in the mind.
If these questions are objective questions,
Like how many meditation techniques are there,
What is a concentration meditation or what is a visualization meditation.
If there are objective questions,
There is enough resources on the internet out there to satisfy you a good answer.
But if there are subjective questions,
Questions that arise out of your depth,
Questions that are not questions,
That are you in question,
That are you questioning,
That are somehow encapsulating your inner space.
If you are going through the spiritual journey,
Through the spiritual transformation and you come across these questions,
You are most welcome to share these questions on our community page.
I will pick them up and try my best to help you to come out of those questions,
Come out of those encapsulations.
Thank you very much.
Namaste.
