This Open Heart Healing Meditation can help you clear, heal, and release old pain and hurt, known or unknown, that prevents your heart from being more open and in a state of receiving. When our heart stores old pain and hurt, our heart chakra cannot receive as much new energy, love, and compassion as we would otherwise be able to experience if our heart was more open. This guided open heart healing meditation uses visualization and the Ho'oponopono mantra to heal, clear, and release blockages to your heart being open and receptive to love, kindness, compassion, tolerance, and connection.

Forgiveness meditation.

Find a comfortable place where you can sit on a chair or on the ground or lay down.

Close your eyes and send a wave of relaxation throughout your entire body.

Inhale through the nose,

Exhale out of the mouth.

Allow for all the tension,

Contraction,

Pain or discomfort in your body to release right now.

With each and every breath you become more and more relaxed.

More and more relaxed.

With each and every breath you become more and more relaxed.

More and more at peace.

Quiet.

Now moving into the space of your mind,

Send a wave of emptiness in the space of your mind,

Allowing for the thoughts to release.

Letting the thoughts flow in and out of you effortlessly.

Moving into the space of your heart,

Allowing for whatever negative emotion is present right now to be released,

Sending a wave of love,

Warm healing energy through the space of your heart.

Feeling more and more relaxed with each and every breath.

Now allow yourself to get in touch with something that you dislike,

Something that you have a judgement of.

Something that carries this energy of pain for you.

Whether it is something about yourself,

Something about another,

Yourself in general or another person in general.

Anything that brings about a feeling of discomfort physically,

Negative thoughts,

Negative emotions.

Something you dislike,

You resent,

You can't forgive.

As you allow yourself to get in touch with that dislike,

With that discomfort,

With that pain.

Intend to forgive it completely,

To release it entirely from your system.

Freeing yourself from any judgement,

Any reactivity by using the Oponopono mantra.

The traditional mantra used in the Pacific Islands and Hawaii to cleanse our memories.

To release whatever it is that we are holding onto with judgement and negativity.

So that we can be clear,

Pure,

Open.

Inviting new experiences within ourselves and in relationships without this dislike,

This discomfort or pain.

Healing your relationship to yourself and to others.

As you think about something that you dislike.

Observe it.

Think about something that you dislike.

Observing it from the place of your heart.

Begin to repeat the first part of the mantra.

Offering love to this part of yourself or another.

Offering love to yourself or another completely.

Healing this part by loving it.

By having no judgement of it.

Accepting it completely.

Unconditionally loving it.

As you continue to repeat I love you to this part of yourself or to yourself or to the part of another or to another person,

Become aware of how your body releases tension,

How there's less thought,

Less negative emotion,

Less reactivity in regard to yourself,

To that someone or to the character trait in yourself or another that you dislike.

Repeating the statement I love you again and again with intention,

With intensity,

Allowing for the process of healing to take place through this love.

Continue repeating I love you until you feel a shift.

You feel yourself more relaxed,

More quiet in your mind,

Keeping your awareness on what it is that you are trying to heal and remaining in your heart.

Begin the second part of the mantra.

Repeating I'm sorry again and again with the intention of acknowledging the hurt,

The pain that that part of yourself or the part of another or yourself or another feels by being judged,

By being rejected.

Acknowledging the pain of rejection.

Again and again repeating I'm sorry with intention,

With intensity.

Feeling that you are sorry.

For any pain,

For any rejection that any part of you or any part of anybody has ever felt as a result of judgment and rejection.

Continue to repeat I'm sorry until you feel a shift in the form of more relaxation,

Less thought,

More openness in your heart,
