I want to commend you for taking the time to create space in your life,

To deepen your relationship with yourself,

With this space and time,

In this present moment,

This now.

Find a comfortable position,

Maybe it's sitting,

Maybe lying down.

Right now,

I want you to keep your eyes open,

And with your eyes open,

See if you can look around you.

With a soft gaze,

See if you can find your body in this time and space.

See if you can spot an object around you.

Maybe it's something you love.

Maybe it's something that brings back memories.

Maybe it's a reminder of something you look forward to.

Maybe it presents in the mind someone you love.

Now see if you can observe that object,

And think about where it brings you in time and space.

Does it bring you to the past?

Does it present the future?

Does it trigger anything in space for you?

Maybe somewhere in the body,

Or in the mind.

Maybe it reminds you of a place,

A thing,

Or a person.

Take a deep breath in,

And now exhale.

Sit with this object in mind,

And maybe have a representation within the body of a memory.

See if you can now observe this object in this time and space.

See if you can detach,

Simply observing this object for what it is in this time and space.

Can you take it in with no thought?

Can you observe it as though you've never seen it before?

Take another breath in,

And now exhale.

See if you can observe this object,

Keeping a soft gaze while you stare,

And now see if you can expand your attention to the entire space around you.

Bring your focus and eyes on that single object.

Feel the space around you.

Bring a deep sense of presence to what you hear.

Notice how you feel.

See what happens to your body.

Does it feel lighter?

Maybe there's a sensation of gravity.

Keeping that soft gaze at this same object,

See if you notice how present in this time and space you can become.

See if you can feel the air on your skin as you breathe in through your nose.

See if you can feel the air tickling your nose.

See if there's a sensation of smell.

Can you notice where within the body you sense the smell?

As you breathe out,

See if you can sense the warmth of the air you're breathing out.

As you allow your eyes to close,

See if you can tune in to my words.

Can you listen deeply?

Can you feel the frequency behind my words?

Can you sense the presence of now?

And as you exhale,

See if you can expand.

Feel this frequency in every cell.
