Embracing 2024: New Year Prayer And Affirmations

This guided prayer and affirmation is for those feeling a little antsy about this new year. 2024 is right around the corner and let this prayer be one of your tools to set yourself up for the year. Let's welcome this new year with open arms and and willing heart as I gently guide you through healing affirmations and prayers. Background music by Gregory David.

2023,

It has been a long year,

Hasn't it?

And I know you might be a little tired and a lot of nervous thinking about what next year might be.

But let me speak life into you and let me pray with you.

And we gonna get through this together and we gonna prepare for this together.

Wherever you are,

Just make sure you're comfortable.

Make sure you are in a space where you can slow down and connect with God and you can be to yourself and have a moment.

And even if this moment gets interrupted,

Just pause the track and come back to it.

No matter what,

Just get this time for yourself.

You deserve it.

Your next year deserve it.

Your reflections of this previous year deserves it.

So without further ado,

Let's pray for your year.

It is my prayer that you look in the mirror and see a work of art.

It is my prayer that you see your beautiful heart.

When you breathe,

Where you remember how deeply rooted you are.

I pray that you remember that you don't have to live,

Laugh,

Love,

Grieve,

Or do anything alone because we are not meant to heal in isolation.

I pray that this remembrance is coupled with the divine hand of God,

Guiding you to the people most aligned with your highest good.

I pray that the people entering your life are prepared and ready to reciprocate all the love that you give just by existing.

You are love and I pray that you never forget it.

I pray that you remember that you do not walk alone.

I pray that you encounter beautiful mirrors,

Holy reflections of yourself,

Reflections that show you just how special you are,

Reflections that show you just how beautiful you are,

And when necessary,

Reflections that realign you with your values,

Your goals,

And your morals.

I pray that you find healing in the most unexpected places next year.

This is the return of the great adventure,

The new space age,

And may God remove all of the things standing in your way.

I pray that you have the energy,

The resources,

The motivation,

The affirmations,

The jubilee that you need in order to thrive.

Next year,

We are at leaving survival mode.

I pray that as you leave survival mode,

You transition into thriving mode,

Loving mode,

Supported mode,

Held mode,

Healthy mode,

Deep in love with yourself mode.

With the ending of this year,

I pray for the ending of your self-doubt.

I pray for an ending of your disbelief in your God-given talents.

You aren't meant to just fly or float.

You are meant to soar.

That is why I pray that your heart gets all the things that they have been yearning for.

This world,

This life,

Me,

You,

Your cousin,

Your mom,

Your sister,

Everybody that you have ever known,

Next year is better because you will be in it.

I pray for your healing.

I pray that 2024 heals wounds that had been long calloused over wounds that you forgot were there,

Wounds that hurt you,

And you never say anything about them.

May every dry and dead bone in your body be revitalized with life and light and the opportunity and the motivation and the willpower to walk into your dreams and live there.

When you find yourself inevitably in rooms that feel bigger than you are,

May you remember that you were called there.

Remember that you are needed there.

I pray for your protection,

Protection over your mind,

Protection over your time,

Protection over your resources,

Protection over your health and your wealth,

Protection over the things that you do not know need protecting,

Protection from self-betrayal,

Protection from self-rejection,

From self-denial,

And I pray for protection from self-sabotage.

I pray for a divine conspiracy,

A divine conspiracy that sole purpose is to see that you evolve and become the most healed,

Most happy,

Most grounded,

Most spiritually connected version of yourself that 2024 has to offer.

Everything you encounter next year will conspire for your highest good.

I pray that all things work for your good.

I pray you remember that all things work for your good,

Whether you are in the boardroom,

The bathroom,

The gym,

The church house,

Your car,

School,

Whatever space you find yourself in next year,

May you find yourself there full,

Whole,

And authentic,

Owning all that you are,

For better or for worse,

And may you find yourself equipped to win.

I pray that you get the knowledge and the experts that you need to make everything you involve yourself in fruitful.

I pray for the protection of those that you love and those connected to you.

May your relationships be a place where you heal,

Where you are refilled,

Where you can retreat from this world,

Not a place where you're drained,

Not a place where you feel used.

I pray that God lovingly ends the connections that no longer serve you,

That no longer serve your calling.

I pray that God lovingly sends them along their way,

Peacefully out of your life.

I know that you have had so many experiences where you have met people and thought that they meant you good,

And they ended up hurting you.

But in this next year,

I pray that you trust God to reveal the character and intentions of those around you.

And I pray that you don't stress about it.

I pray that you are more focused on all of your creativity,

All of the love that's inside of you,

All of the beauty that you create,

That you are not focused on worrying about who might not be for you.

I pray that this next year,

You feel so connected to those that you love,

That you feel so grounded in your spirit,

That in this next year,

You see those fruits of the spirit that you have been praying for for so long.

Patience,

Joy,

Faithfulness,

Love,

Self-control,

Gentleness,

Kindness,

Peace,

Goodness.

May these be the themes and reoccurring events of your year.

I pray for a wild,

Beautiful adventure,

One that blows your mind in the most beautiful way.

And I pray that you see yourself in ways that you have never seen yourself before.

This year,

You will believe the hype about you.

This year,

You will see the light that everyone else has seen your entire life,

Even those that try to deny it,

Even those that try to take it away.

This is your moment,

Baby,

And I want you to thrive.

And I pray that you trust God while you fill out your body,

While you fill out the spaces where trauma used to live and joy is trying to make its way into.

I pray that you're patient with yourself when you are triggered,

When you're anxious,

When you're sad,

When life inevitably lifes.

I pray that in those moments,

You double down on your self-love.

I pray that in those moments,

You double down on your commitment to be kind to yourself,

To be compassionate to the world,

And to be loving to those around you.

This world will question your commitment to love.

This world will make you doubt your commitment to love.

But I pray that you double down every time.

I pray that you double down every time.

You are so limitless.

God is limitless in you.

God's help to you is limitless.

God's favor for you is limitless.

God's love for you is limitless.

And he,

She,

They,

It,

Whatever pronoun you use to talk about the divine,

They're ready for you.

They're holding you.

And everything that you do,

Everything that you touch is anointed.

Everything that you touch will grow.

Everything that you touch will thrive.

So don't worry about what it looks like.

Just start,

Just create,

Just be,

Just dance,

Just sing,

Just doctor,

Just nurse,

Just teach.

Whatever it is,

Whatever your thing is,

Whatever way that God uses you,

Just do it.

And trust your movement,

Trust your training,

Trust your instincts,

Trust your community.

And trust that you got this.

I pray for a beautiful,

Thriving new year for you.

I pray that it is so gentle on your spirit.

I pray that each month is like a soothing balm that you leave every month.

And I did not know I needed that.

I did not know I needed these experiences of the past 30 days.

I did not know I needed to meet this person,

That I needed to hear this word,

That every time you move,

Every moment you wake up,

That you encounter your needs being met in areas that you didn't even know that there was a need.

I'm so proud of you for continuing.

I'm so proud of you for keeping to move forward.

I'm so proud of you for breathing.

I'm so proud of you for trying to thrive,

For trying to find new ways to be.

I'm so proud of you for setting your resolutions,

Even the ones that you don't commit to,

That you don't stick with.

I'm proud of you because you are trying.

Yes,

You are trying.

And there are a lot of people that aren't.

And that's no shade to them.

Because I know all of the barriers that stand in the way of us trying.

But it is an affirmation to you,

An affirmation to keep going,

To keep loving,

And to keep believing in yourself.

You got this.

I'm speaking a win.

I'm speaking so many great wins over your life for this next year.

I'm speaking that you thrive in ways that you didn't know you could thrive.

Like,

I want your mind to be blown.

I thank you for listening to me.

I thank you for rocking with me this year,

For supporting me,

For supporting my meditations,

And for allowing God to use me in your life.

I pray all of these things,

All of these affirmations,

Breathe them in.
